Has Anyone Ever Seen A Celebrity In Wdw

We had to have been there at the same time, because we rode on the same Jungle Cruise boat as Joan Rivers and her grandson, and what we assumed was the nanny (it certainly wasn't Melissa!) Being the Michigan hicks that we are, we most definitely took a few paparazzi shots. (We also saw her the next day at Test Track)

Oddly, a few days prior, as we were waiting to ride Dumbo, we looked up and saw this stunningly beautiful woman on the ride with her daughter:

(It's Vanessa Williams, in case you can't recognize her)

We have never seen a celebrity, until this trip when we saw 2 within a few days. Oh, and we also saw a female that we recognized as a criminal being arrested on COPS walking around Epcot! Hilarious! DH wanted to follow her. I said, Oh no, the way she was on that show, I just know something bad would happen. She was very, very recognizable, an unforgettable face.

Joan Rivers was on the view the other day and she said she was there....that is co cool that you took pic's.

My friend and I were reading this post and she starts screaming in my ear that she saw OJ simpson at WDW. Ive never seen any celebritys yet...but hopefully soon :wizard:

We saw Bill Clinton after we left Kimono's inside The WDW Swan Hotel in '05.

Let me just say, as a woman of 22 at the time, I was blown away by how attractive and alluring he is in person. I NEVER thought I would think that!

I saw Sinbad a few years ago at TOT. I was sitting inside near the exit waiting for my children when Sinbad and friends got off the ride. A lady sitting next to me took a picture with her camera.

I saw Maureen McCormick at MGM. I was on a Disney Cruise with Aaron Carter.

Maureen stayed at a hotel i work at last Christmas (Hyatt hotel in the mpls subs)!!!! I started in Feb. but everyone was telling me about it. They said she was really nice and stopped by the front desk and just talked to some of the girls working. They said her daughter looked just like her and it was weird seeing "marcia" in her sweats. haha. But that she was such a doll!!!!!

i personally havent seen anyone famous in Disney yet, but im going in 3 weeks!! It would be cool, but i wouldnt freak out. Normally I would have, when i was younger, but i realize that it has to be annoying just trying to be on a normal vacation and have people freaking out all the time!

(plus........... celeb's hang out with people that don't freak out over who they are.... :rotfl: )

I know, I saw him at a work function (I work in publishing, this was when his book was coming out) and I agree. He is a very charasmatic man.

Posted this before, I saw all the kids from the ABC Friday night line up one time (They were there for a press junket) and was sitting right next to the oldest son from Home Improvement and his family. We were all waiting together and struck up a conversation (before we realized who he was) and he was very nice -- so were his parents.

Also saw Evander Hollyfield back in 1995 -- that was the ONLY time my ex got excited the entire trip. (Did I mention he's my EX LOL)

I started this thread before I left for WDW, I just came back yesterday, and just for the record I didn't see any celeb.............except of course MICKEY MOUSE

I saw Bob Hope on The Great Movie Ride at MGM in 1989. Sadly, this was the last ime I was in WDW...but I'm going again in August!

While on our honeymoon in June 1996 my dh and I went to Pleasure Island. I think we were in the Adventurers Club at a beer tasting show. We were walking in looking for a table when this man stood up and invited us to sit with him and the girl he was with. This guy was hilarious. He heckled the people on stage the entire time, we couldn't stop laughing. The show ended and he thanked us for joining them at the table and then left. I looked at my dh and said "Do you know who that was?" and he said "Yes! That was Drew Carey!"

During our dinner at Ohana's on 7/4/07 we were seated next to Udonis Haslem of the Miami Heat. DFiance didn't notice but I said to him I think I know him from somewhere, he looks like someone I've seen before... and I don't watch basketball at all. We then found out who it was. They were very polite and seemed to be having a great time enjoying dinner with extended family 15+ people at the table before being whisked off to the fireworks at EPCOT by their VIP guides.

In 2003 while staying at the Poly, it was a late night and my DD20 and I were in the pool which was virtually empty other than some older folks. Along one of the paths came A. J. McLean (not sure of how to spell his last name) from The Backstreet Boys. My DD had been a huge fan as a teen and I recognized him immediately from seeing him hanging on her walls. (Not literally :lmao: ) I quietly told her to look and she did -- neither one of us jumped out of the pool or squeeled or anything else, just looked in surprise. He noticed that we noticed and rushed around the pool quickly. A few minutes later, after we had pretty much forgotten it, a guy his age came out ..... wearing the same thing that AJ was wearing just before!!! Perhaps to get us off the scent? I mean, I suppose we were stalker material given the fact that we ..... ummmm ...... didn't even get out of the pool. :rotfl: The "imposter" sat down near us and said, out loud, to anyone ... "I'm here alone and that's okay. Disney World is cool for someone who is alone." And then he left. We burst into laughter and everytime we were near the conceirge building they were in, we would wonder, out loud (not too loud) if that poor boy on his solo trip was doing okay.

Last June we saw Duff from Guns N' Roses with his wife and kids. They seemed like they were having fun -- eating lunch in front of Rosie's All American at MGM. And although I've been a huge GR fan, we did not approach them -- hey, it's my vacation too!!!

I met John Tartaglia from Johnny and the Sprites, Beauty and the Beast and Avenue Q (Broadway) when I was in MGM a couple of weeks ago. He was very nice and we talked for a few minutes. He was in WDW filming a commercial for a concert he'll be doing there in October.

Here's a pic.

So when I am at Disney, I talk to everyone and correct me if I am wrong most people talk to one another on the bus, in line, at restaurants. I am not a super outgoing person I just think that Disney brings out the happy in everyone. So we were at Animal Kingdom in the gift shop and I was talking to a man and his daughter. She was too cute. There were two men who were standing near by watching me and just standing there, on the boarder of invading my personal space. I just looked at them and smiled with a raised brow. Thinking are you guys about to hold up the place or something??? The man was nice and was waiting on his wife. I paid for my items and returned to my husband and he was like so what was it like to talk to Kobe Bryant! I laughed and was thinking no wonder those wierd guys were watching my every move. I told the story to my friends and they all asked if I noticed his wifes new HUGHE diamond ring. That was not too long after the whole cheating scandel he had. I did not know the story. My husband filled me in. It was a funny experience. I just noticed him because he was speaking Spanish to his daughter and I thought that was neat, since he did not appear Spanish and did not have the accent.

My DH spotted Nick Faldo (professional golfer) in Epcot, probably in 2004. We were in Epcot, leaving Mexico towards Future World. My DH yelled, Nick!... and he turned around and shook my DH's hand! Too cool!
