has anyone ever lost their DDE card?

And if so...did they replace it? I know I just need to call and ask, but I was hoping to hear a positive story from someone on the DIS that has experienced this.

We had dinner at CG on Monday night (Oct 1) and I had one too many dirty martinis (that would be 3, total...have you heard the saying "one martini, two martini, three martini.. FLOOR?") I paid with my Disney Rewards card and also used my DDE card and left both of them when I signed the bill. I called and spoke to a manager, and she said she only remembered one card (she kept saying it was my resort key) and she destroyed it. Oh well, it expired 11/30 and I am not sure we were even going back to WDW before then, but I still miss seeing it in my wallet!:guilty:
 
I have misplaced mine, and the replacement was $25, I believe. May not be worth it if you aren't heading back before it would have expired.
 
Thanks for the response!:cool1: Yeah, that makes sense. I know it is $25 for a second card, so they have to charge that for a replacement or I bet a lot of dishonest folks would lie, just to get a second card.

Oh well, next trip is not planned until January. I was considering a quick trip at the end of October, but maybe I will just frequent the restaurants I never want to try because they do not take the DDE. Kimonos at the Swan is a good example.
 
I put mine someplace "safe" after returning from our trip last october, since I knew I wouldn't be heading back down to wdw until long after it expired. then in april, I ended up taking an impromptu trip, and went searching. never did find it, so I called the number and since I had never used the temp one they offer (when you first order it, if you order too late for the real card to arrive, you get this temp one), they said they could arrange to have that at epcot for me for free. it wasn't a full replacement, but was good for a few weeks, maybe a month. worked great, I didn't have to pay to replace the lost card, and was able to still get my discount.
 

Oh, that is nice to hear! Only problem is, I did indeed use my temp card when I first ordered my card this year.

Oh well, I am not going to worry about it unless we are lucky enough to take one of those "impromptu" trips you were so fortunate to do in April!:thumbsup2
 
I managed to lose mine once when it still had about six months to go, and I was charged $25 for a replacement. They did also set up a temporary card for me.
 
Since I only have 2 months to go, and not much of a chance of getting up there again before January, I will just wait and re order in Dec. Thanks for letting me know, though!
