Hi, we are going in June of this year for 6/7 and are currently booked for a CR Tower. However, I was really wanting concierge at either the CR or the Poly, but both were sold out for this time.

So I have been checking on their website every few days, to see if there has been any cancellations, and one has opened up. Yesterday, I accidentally put in the wrong dates and made it for 7/8 when I was looking at the Poly ( I had put in 6/17 - 6/24 when we are really going 6/18 -6/24) and it popped up that they had concierge available. So then I put in my correct dates and it showed no concierge. I then checked the CR and it was the same, concierge for 7 nights, but not for 6 nights.

Well this made no sense to me, so I called WDW, the CM was very nice and checked her system, and it was showing the same thing, she couldn't figure it out either, so she called someone to find out what was going on. When she came back on the line, she told me that there were no concierge rooms available, but if you were staying 7 nights or more, they would get you a room, and bump someone else!!

Has anyone ever had their reservation not available when they got there? I couldn't believe they would bump someone off the concierge level and either one of these resorts!!

Thanks!

Something doesn't sound right there. I've never heard a CM ever mention something like that.

Sorry, but I would be fuming mad if I got bumped for someone who booked one night longer than me. I'm sure that CRO would never tell me that is why but now I know. Plus, I would never do that to someone else either.

I don't know that that is exactly what would happen. I just booked for 4 nights in Las Vegas. Because we were arriving Sat our choice of hotels was REALLY cut because most would not let you check in on a Sat. When I called to ask why and complain I was basically told that they want somebody who will stay for the whole weekend and will not "use up" (their words not mine) their rooms on somebody staying a shorter amount of time. I think they are likely trying to get people to add on an extra night. We had already booked air so we couldn't add on but I think the policy really stinks.

Wow!! I kind of know what you are talking about because sometimes when I check my dates online I get availability showing for a stay of 4 or more nights in the CR or wherever - but if I shorten my stay and use the same dates but for 2 nights instead of 4 it doesn't show any availibility.

I was one that kind of got bumped from a concierge room. We booked 4 nights GF RPC over Thanksgiving. A room for 5 people. I had a later flight in, last luggage off the plane, anything that could happen to slow us down in getting to the GF did - and we were stuck in a room for 4 (2 adults and 3 kids 5, 8, and 14!) - the SMALLEST room that I have ever seen in a deluxe resort. Don't know why we got bumped, but we sure didn't get what we paid for and reserved. We argued A LOT at check in and moved the next day to a beautiful room, but BEWARE of late check ins!!!!

I know, even the CM said that she had never heard of this and that it didn't make any sense to her either, just that it was something that made sense to the "higher-ups".

Some rooms are allocated on a basis of lenght of stay. Meaning that say there are 40 concerige rooms. 20 might be available to be booked by guests seeking a 5 night stay, while another 10 might be allocated for 5 night stays. Others of course are open allocation for any requested lenght of stay. I think that must have been what you experienced.

edited to add, no one gets 'bumped' once a confirmation has been issued, excepting something like water damage to a room or someother out of the company's control event.

I wanted to split our stay between CR and POR. I was hoping to save the best for last and do CR Sat-Tues, but they wouldn't let me. I could do CR Thurs-Sat and POR Sun-Tues, or just do CR Thurs-Tues. I couldn't understand why CR was available for the last 3 days of my trip if I booked it for the whole stay, but not if I wanted to just do the last half. I don't know if it was the number of nights I was staying or because I wanted to check into CR on a Sat. We went ahead and just booked CR for the entire trip.
