Has anyone ever filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau?

I just filed one against a company for work. I'm trying to get this situation resolved before my last day here next Friday. Basically, my complaint is for non-delivery of goods. They said it would take 6-8 weeks & now it's been over 12 weeks. They haven't been returning my phone calls or responding to my emails either.

Should I start taking bets? Who thinks I'll get my stuff by next Friday & who thinks I shouldn't hold my breath?

Don't hold your breath!!! People die from that!:o

I'm still waiting on a resolution from my complaint dated May 2001! I stopped holding my breath ages ago.
They did resolve a complaint I had with my DH's EX Auto Insurance Company, he received a free month after it was resolved. He then dropped them. It's hit-or-miss.

I did, but it has been about 25 years ago but I had wonderful results! I had ordered a calculator from Service Merchandise. UPS delivered it to someone who had the same name as my DH, but at a different address. This was back when you signed all the time for UPS packages. This person with the same name was 10 years old and his father signed for the package and kept it. I called SM and asked about my package, they told me it had been delivered. What it all boiled down to was UPS didn't want to admit that they had delivered it to the wrong place and SM wouldn't replace it because as far as they knew it had been delivered. UPS said it was SM's fault. So after about six months of this, I wrote to the BBB. I stated I didn't care whose fault it was that I either wanted my calculator or my money back. Would you believe that with one week, UPS called and apoligized, SM called and apoligized, and I had my calculator!!! I wrote them a very nice thank you letter. By the way, this was back before email or anything like that.

Thanks everyone. I don't think I'll be holding my breath. I have a feeling that if they cared at all about their reputation I would have my stuff or at least a definite delivery date.

My other option would be to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission since we're in different states. According to the FTC website, they have 30 days to ship the stuff to me unless they inform me otherwise & I agree to it.

Not the BBB but my son recently filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office after getting the run-around for 2 months.

He got a call the next day and the situation was straighten out fast.

He also got a call about a week later from some CEO with an apology.

It's amazing that all of a sudden people are willing to talk about the problem that nobody knew anything about.
