We are actually considering going to MVMCP two times on our Dec. trip. Here are our reasons: 1.) We don't want to be rushed to do everything because we're only at the party one night - we want to be able to enjoy things at a leisurely pace, 2.) We have never been there at Christmas and will probably never be there again at Christmas because of school schedules, 3.) Our kids are 4 and 6 and don't move as quickly as older kids 4.) DD will be celebrating her 5th birthday on our last night there - I wanted to go to MVMCP for her birthday but am worried that if it rains we'll miss it. I'm thinking we should go once early in the trip and then again on her birthday.

I know some people don't like the party and wouldn't go once let alone twice. However, we, and our kids, always enjoy our time at WDW and I don't think this will be any different. And yes, this is a complete splurge but if it's our only Christmas trip we're willing to do it. So what do you think? Thanks!!!

We have been 5 times now to MVMCP.Our last trip we went twice. The first one was myself,my husband, our two boys(14,3)and my parents. We had some problems getting there. We were staying at the VWL and took the boat but the person driving the boat couldnt seem to dock it and took at least 20 minutes trying to dock at Ft. Wilderness and then another 15 minutes at MK.My parents were meeting us there(they took the monorail). The monorail they were on broke down!!Needless to say we spent alot of wasted time looking for each other. So,we decided to do another party the night after my parents went home.We had a great time at each party but things do happen which can cut into your night.I suggest you go into the party early.I believe you get in sometime after 4:00.Have a great time!!!

Can they stay up late enough to make MVMCP worth it? If you can fit in the photo, parade and special shows thats about it for special party things. If you're going to be in the parks during the day you may consider a long nap in the late afternoon to prepare them for the party.

Once is definately enough. The only extras that are not there during regular park hours are the complimentary photo of your family, a special stage show in front of the castle, a special parade, snow falling on Main St., and hot chocolate & cookies. You should easily be able to accomplish seeing all that in one night.

Although I don't doubt that you can do it all in one night my husband and I enjoy going twice. We have been in December two years and have went to the Party twice each trip. We thoroughly enjoy it - and this last year I was really glad we went twice because the second night it rained and rained and although we tried to tough it out we were really just miserable and finally gave in.

:D
