I can get the one night for a very reasonable rate of $40 for the night. We will be checking into the Poly the next day very early but we will be getting to FL very late. The USAir flight is now scheduled for 10:35 I am sure it will be later. We are getting a car. I really only need a clean room for the night we will be grabbing a fastfood snack I guess when we land if anyone is hungry. I plan on dinner at the airport when we checkin. Has anyone ever stayed here. I will make the ressies tonight if I get any feed back. Thanks for all your help.

We stayed here a few years ago. the hotel is ok but the front desk check-in was a little disorganized. they have 3 pools (I think). One is covered but it was COLD. We had a first floor room and had crickets getting into the room on the day we were checking out. The room had a mini fridge and a microwave. Not a terrible place for one night.

tlens, you said not bad for one night...now I'm second guessing my decision, we got an efficiency at HJ Maingate East for $34.95 a night and thought that was a great deal. Just how bad is it??

It's not a bad choice if your on a budget. There are better places however. As the above poster indicated, try Hotel Kingdom. They have MANY good hotels listed for very afforable rates. We are using them for the Vistana Villages this time and are paying $79.90 for a 1 bedroom condo. They offer the Oak Plantation Villas for $55.90 for a one bedroom. These would be better choices.

We stayed there for 5 nights as at that time, hotels were not going nearly as cheaply as they are now. It was clean but I would try to get a second floor room to avoid the cricket problem we had. The fridge and microwave was nice but the toilet continually ran. Since we only used the room for sleeping, we didn't bother to complain about it. I definately wouldn't classify it as a dive (I've stayed in a few of those) but there are better choices if you're planning on spending a significant amount of time in your room.

last year we were staying at downtown disney courtyard for $20 something a night Sunday through Thursday but needed to find a cheap room for Friday and Saturday before we headed home. I booked this hotel for $24.99 a night and thought it would be great, it does have an okay (close) location. we checked in dead tired after a day at Epcot and a midnight dinner at Denny's. the kids even slept in their clothes that night we were so exhausted. The next morning my hubby went off to Blizzard Beach with 2 of our kids and one stayed behind to go outlet shopping with me. we weren't in the room until dinner hour. By than I found ants all over the sink area, I tried not to freak out but by this time I noticed our room was actually missing a dresser as well. I felt uncomfortable with the ground floor room as well, security wise, the doors didn't lock well. Well, we went to the pool, it was kind of crowded (the other 2 were closed) and dirty. Mostly peoples food wrappers left behind. Then I saw it, the biggest cockroach of my life. I freaked out. I hauled the kids out of the pool and back to the room adn looked around good. I only came up with more ants and a water bug but all of the suden everything looked dirty to me. We checked out that night, cut our vacation short by a day and drove home (yes, 20 hours) over night AFTER I told the front desk what I thought of the place. . . long and short, I'd never stay again. up side, they never did charge my credit card for the room . .
