Has anyone ever been red flagged when making reservation?

My husband called today to get a room and the Disney member said "wow, you have been red flagged" apparently this means as you are booking you are entitled to an extremely low rate for the room you are booking. How cool is that! Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I never have, i have recieved a few maillers with pin codes never been at a time i could use them. Now that i need one i probably will not get one. Did they tell him that before he started the reservation process. Or was it before he told them what he wanted.

This is the first I've ever heard of anything like this, from Disney, or the hotel business in general. Not to dispute what you are saying, but perhaps if we knew more about the situation, etc. it could be explained better....

I had something similar a few years ago. I called to make a reservation and they told me I had special discounts associated with my account. Rooms were about 1/2 price.

I called yesterday and had no discount with my name. But the CM said her computer isn't showing anything, but to go look at mine. Within an hour I had a 40% off code in my e-mail. Called back today and booked.

I have also not heard of this until now, still it's something intresting and lucky for those who can have it happen for them.

For those getting these e-mails and flags, when are planning to go. Just trying to get a sense if these are being used for trips in the next couple of months or more than 6 months out, thanks.

prolly the only time in my life i'd WANT to be red flagged :cool1:

My mom got offered $99/night for AKL

she was booking CBR (which she goes to about 2 times a year) when they offered her that if she wanted to upgrade

For this year? That is a great deal.

No, it was 3-4 years ago

they always offer her good rates to "upgrade" to a deluxe- they probably think once they get her in a deluxe, she won't go back to mod (It worked on my wife after our honeymoon at GF:rotfl: )

Would love that! So what was the offer??? Inquiring minds want to know :)

My guess is that the term "red flagged" was simply used/created by the CM who may have just been communicating to the OP that they had a code or related discount associated with their name. Probably the same situation we all know about...but just a personal term.

Thus, all the reservations' CM's should be required to read the DIS to understand how we hang on their every word!:thumbsup2

Then again, can you imagine the fun they have by reading some of these posts and thinking, "oh, that was me that freaked that lady out.."....etc.:happytv:

Sorry if this has been said somewhere, but I really don't have time to lool through all the threads....How do you all get emails and these codes? Who do I have to give my email to?? SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME!!!!

I dont think anyone really knows how its done besides Disney. I can honestly tell you that I have been to Disney numerous times and my sister has never been and she received the code because she requested a vacationing dvd... BUT... if it wasnt for these boards I would have never ever known about calling Disney and asking if there was a code attached to our household.. So my suggestion... If you havent signed up on the Disney website do so, request a planning dvd... hopefully that will help & if thats already done, you can always call disney like I did and ask if there is anything attached to your name/household/phonenumber etc.... Gl and I hope it works out for u! :yay:

I called once and was offered an extremely low rate for Coronado Springs. It was like $55 a night or something. The CM said that he had never seen this happen before, but heard of it.

When I called, I told him I was extremely flexible with dates. I didn't care when I went, I just told him how many nights I wanted.
