Has anyone ever asked?

After watching those horrible things on Dateline about all the different things that can be found on hotel bed spreads, it has always been in the back of my mind when I lay in a hotel bed. Anyway, my question is.....Has anyone ever asked for a clean bed spread? I know this is a stupid question, but I don' t want them to look at me weird if I would happen to ask

Do you request it after you meet your room hostess?

Thanks for your help.

Travis

All of the bedspreads are cleaned inbetween sailings. Just ask "blacklight Barb" about the cleanliness of the cabins! I was pleasantly suprised (and relieved (I saw Dateline that night too!)) to find how clean they were. That being said, if you wanted to change bedspreads it would be no problem. You cabin stewart will bend over backwards to help you. Have a great trip!

I'll echo that. I've actually seen bedspreads and all "removables" removed from the cabins during the cleaning process. They do a very thorough cleaning between guests...but if something doesn't meet your standards, just tell your steward. It will be changed, cleaned again, or whatever is necessary to satisfy you.

Hey thanks for your answers......and now I don't have to worry about asking. This is our 4th cruise, just with that norwalk virus and other body fluids on the bed spread:magnify: :scared: I wanted to see if anyone else asked. Have they always changed the bed spread between guests, or did they start that after the norwalk scare?

Thanks again,
Travis

As far as I know, they have always changed all the bedding. However, they definitely do a better job of cleaning now than they used to.

Also, you will notice that if there are any empty cabins near you....when the stewards have "extra time," they do a very thorough cleaning--like down on the floor with small brushes in the corners. That's basically what they did to all areas when they had to cancel the cruise due to Norwalk. THe ship had been looking a little shabby before that, but it was noticibly cleaner afterwards.

The cleaners are all disinfectants, and the stewards wear plastic gloves and change them between each cabin in the daily cleaning process. THey do a better job than I've seen in any hotel!!
