I agree that the DISboards feeds the addiction. My father took us to MK a couple times when we were growning up and I'd taken my DD now 31 a couple times when she was growing up. It was never an every year thing though. Then along comes my first granddaughter so we took her when she was two and stayed with my aunt/uncle who lived in Orlando. Didn't take her again until she was 6, it was just her and I. That's also when I found the DISboards. Ever since I found the DISboards it's been a two or three times a year thing. So I know the DISboards feeds the addiction.
My mother passed away last year and left me some money, not a lot, but enough to buy into DVC and pay off the bills. I'm already in borrowing mode on the points but I refuse to add on. My granddaughter will be 10 this year and still loves WDW, but just in case she gets too cool for WDW, I've now got a new granddaughter pictured below as backup.
I also took my father 80 last February, his first time at Epcot, MGM & AK. He grumbled and didn't want to go, but now he loves it and we're going again this February and taking my aunt & uncle who are in their 70's. Dad's all excited. While I was writing this, he walked in and asked "What night are we going to the Hoop Dee Doo!"
Now I have two "types" of trips. Commando, ride the rides, character meal eatin', water park goin' and go go go trips with the kids. And then I have the sleep late, eat a leisurely breakfast, see every inch of Epcot, eat at the expensive restaurants, and relaxing trip with my dad and now aunt/uncle. I love both kinds!
