has anyone else had this happen?

DD and i just returned from WDW for her bday trip. we specifically bought 2 hats at the chapeau so we could get 2 of the gold mickey ear hats. got the cards, came home. yesterday DD put in her code and she got a happiest celebration on earth pin.. not a golden mickey ears. so i went an put my code in to see if i got the ears, sure enough, a pin too no ears. so i sent an email via the contact us forms, with both the codes and an explanation.
has anyone else had this happen? and do you think they will get back to us. the only reason i bought the hats is so we could get gold ears. i have 4 kids that play the game and was going to give my ears as a treat to one of them. DD was crushed she really wanted the ears.
I put a thread asking on the vmk fansite but its missing now so im not sure what happened. someone suggested calling the chapeau and asking about it, telling them the situation.
its just strange that both cards gave happiest celebration pins and not the ears.

Oh MY! The same thing happened to cat_herder (cat.herder?)
Do a search and you ought to be able to find the thread about it. I'm sure she will post here soon.

Yes the same thing happened to me about the same time as Cat_Herder. I put my complaint into the black hole in late December but have not heard back yet. I was lucky enough that Miakoda had an extra set and I am eternally grateful that she was kind enough to give me a set. Perhaps someone else has an extra set of ears they can give you. If I ever get my pin replaced by the ears I will pass them on. I will look around for golden ears for you.

i did a search and found the post about the card.. well maybe i will try to get ahold of the hat shop in magic kingdom. or is there a way to call the vmk place in wdw. to at least let them know that the codes are giving them the wrong things. if the 2 we got were next to each outher and gave us both the wrong thing maybe they had a code misprint or something.
If anyone could gift us a hat at least one for my DD i would be eternally grateful. id be willing to give ya the happiest celebration pin. i dont collect the pins.

My advice on this is to skip the black hole and to specifically call the Chapeau or Walt Disney World Guest Relations. The black hole is the black hole for a reason, but I am sure WDW Guest Relations can settle this for you.

Kudos to our users giving up Mickey Ears to fellow DIS friends.

WOOT!!! as always you are the BEST!!!

DIS Search is down for me and I thought I had the number in the guide(but I must have removed it in one of the updates) when I had a bad code on a card I called WDW merch. and they put me through to VMK central and they gave me new codes.

Try that if you can find the number or if someone else has it and posts it for you.
