I've never seen it mentioned here, so I thought I would start a thread about it. Comcast offers On Demand if you pay $1 a month extra for the box.

We've had it for a year, but this summer I started poking around and realized we get a lot more than the 98 channels listed on the level I pay for. I'd found the regular On Demand menu long ago, but recently realized there are a half dozen more on specific topics. One is Travel. It's something like channel 889.

One whole section is Disney. They have fact/myth presentations, general travel info, cooking segments (this month I think there are 6 of them), etc. Altogether they have around 8 topics, all of which have 1 or more features.

One they added this month was meeting some of the families who've won the big Dreams.

i thought there was a disney world vacation planning channel that required additional subscription. hadn't seen/heard anything that came standard with a package. enjoy your new find!

Yep its in the 800 something channels and there are Samantha Brown travel things too... We love watching the Disney it makes us feel so warm and fuzzy watching demand and dreaming about our trip in 2 yrs. I hate we have to wait that long but this year is Universal and next year is our 10th anniv cruise..

What section is it under on On Demand? We have it, but I havent seen or looked for that.

its not under the sections its in the channel range of the 800's I think 888 or 898.

it is called journey on demand. It changes programs every so often but always has lots about disney

One strange feature, if you use "last" to go back to the main menu, it takes you to the regular On Demand channel...1...instead of the travel one.

I was amazed at what we get on basic. For example, ToonDisney! It's in the 100's. We also get WE, which is something like 110.

I guess the only notices they give about channel changes are on the tv, so when WE went away some time ago, I figured it was just gone. I had no idea they'd only moved it.

Our Travel On Demand lists mostly local places, but one of the subcatagories is Disney! Yep, I can dream!
