seemingly due to the tragic events that have unfolded this past week? I swear it's as though my whole body aches, it's hard to concentrate, and sleep doesn't come easy. Some people seem to have the ability to "turn it off", but serious emotional events seem to affect me physically, as well. I know, with time, it will get better, but... Anyone else?

Hi Terri,

I suffer from Fibromyalgia, among other things and ever since all this started on Tuesday I have been in EVEN more pain than normal and had the worst case of cant hold anything down *if* I can even eat. I think its a normal to be physically ill. I have lost 10 pounds at least since tues, my sons sitter noticed it this morning. I can't sleep either which is normal for me, but its made worse by fighter planes over head, I am very close to everything in DC.

My Foster Mom works in the pentagon and had they not moved her offices a month ago she may have been injured the fire ended at her old office door. I was in awful pain when I heard about eveyrhting even after she called to tell me she was safe, I wasnt relieved until she actually came by the house and I gave her the biggest hug and told her how much I love her.

Terri its normal, everyone grieves in their own way. If you need someone to talk to I am usually logged on all day just im me at itscc2u.. if i dont answer it means I have gotton myself involved in actually cleaning my house.

yep. {{{{{{hugs}}}}}} This is a stessful time, and all of us know what stress does to our bodies.

My dad has fibro, too, and it has completely and totally changed his life, so I have at least an inkling of what you're going through, and feel so much sympathy. I have some *chronic* problems, but at least nothing that severe. And I know what you mean about cleaning, in order to "get my mind" off all of this, I spent the past week painting ds' bedroom and rearranging all his furniture! Hugs to all, we will get better...

(who can't believe it's been exactly a week...)

It seems in some ways like it's been years ago. Stress can cause physical pain and all sorts of other nasty symptoms. Lack of sleep can do all sorts of things to your body.
One of my office mates said she laid down for a "few minutes" last night at 6:30pm and woke up this morning. She was feeling good today for the first time in a week.
I'm wishing you some good sleep and sending some pain relief pixie dust (take 2 doses, go to bed and come back to the DIS in the morning).
