Has anyone eaten at these places ?

I was looking at a book that we got from HRH that shows restaurants near US. So I'm wondering if anyone has been there and how they are.

CiCi's Pizza all you can eat Buffet for $ 4.79 (Is it really that cheap ?)

Ponderosa Steak House (says they have meals under 10.00 that include their salad bar.

Sizzler Steak and Salad Bar $ 9.99

I'm also wondering how far the McDonald's and Dairy Queen is that I see in the book. It shows it fairly close but I'm wondering if it's deceiving lol

Been to all 3, not necessarily the ones at US but been to all three. They are all ok, nothing great but for the price you get pretty good food. Basically "you get what you pay for" thing Yes CiCi's is that cheap in fact here where I live it's 3.99 but those prices don't include a drink.

When we want a quick cheap buffet style meal, we hit Shoney's. They just never seem to be as crowded as the other buffet style places. We ate at Ponderosa a few times last year, but not this time. The Shoney's was right around the corner from our condo.

My kids like Cicics, Ponderosa is okay as well nothing fancy though and does get busy as its pretty popular amongst Brits

We ate at the Ponderosa right near Universal on International Dr. for the breakfast buffet. It was really bad and vowed never to go back again. The kids called it Pondergrossa!!! We actually really liked the Cattleman right across the street. Excellent breakfast buffet, cheap. The even had over easy eggs & toast.

Ponderosa is allright but I prefer Golden Corral,I usually go to these two for the breakfast buffet.Ponderosa's used to be $3.99 but I think it jumped to $4.99 not including a drink and Golden Corral is around $6 something with the drink included.

We where at Ponderosa last year and it was ok.
For $11 my wife got meal at Bahama Breeze, she choose the smaller portion of what i had , it was still a big meal and she could not finish it, and much better than Ponderosa.

We are looking for dinners not Breakfasts though. We plan to have a light breakfast in our room but go somewhere for dinner each night.

We ate at both Cicis, sizzler and Ponderosa. We thought Ponderosa was great. At Dinner most meals are around $10, including steaks, and also including the all you can get buffet. The steaks were great and the buffet included salads, veg and bit and pieces such as chicken wings, mashed potato, soups etc. In fact you can make a meal just from the buffet. We ate here several times and enjoyed it every time. We are a party of 4 adults 1 child and it cost around $70. We all like different kinds of food and this was ideal for us.

Wasnt overly impressed with sizzler, the steak I had was $20 and was very fatty and not very enjoyable. The buffet was okay. Only 2 adults and 1 child dined here and it was $80, most of the entrees were around $20.

We ate at Cicis on our first night and was very disappointed. It was quite late, but half the pizzas etc. looked like they had been out under the hotplate for hours! Maybe it would be okay it you went early, but I wouldnt eat there again.

A meal we also enjoyed was at Bennighans. It wasnt too cheap but not very expensive. The steak was nice, my ds6 had a mini burger meal which was cute and consisted of several mini burgers with fries. My DH had some kind of fish cooked in Ale, which he said was very unusual but he enjoyed it.

My Dh fav meal was at a all you can eat chinese buffet, near the steak N shake at the bottome of Palm Parkway, close to the Park Entrance. I cant remember the name but he said it was absolutely fantastic and very cheap, around $6 per person.

Where is the Golden Corral ?

There are two close to US, one on S. Kirkman road just south of Vineland Road, other one at the junction of I drive and Sand Lake road.

I Drive one is probably the busier of the two.

Where is Shoney's compared to Universal ?

Nearest one I think is on S Apopka Vineland Rd, close to J68 on the I4, about 5 miles.

We have eaten at Ponderosa and CiCi's, both are pretty good. We used to have a Ponderosa here until they shut it down (to many steak house's). We always go to CiCi's at least twice when we go to Daytona.. We love that place..

Yes, I usually eat at those places when I want a diarrhea explosion.

In all seriousness, the breakfast buffet at Golden Corral (the one on Kirkman) was surprisingly good a few days ago.

We enjoyed the Cracker Barrel that was near our hotel the last time we were in Orlando. I'll have to look for that one !

Thanks everyone. We need to have places for 5 nights so I think we are set now.

We will try CiCi's just because it's so cheap, Ponderosa just because it has gotten a few good reviews and I remember them from when I was a kid lol, and since we all love Chinese I'm going to attempt to find that Chinese place and also the Golden Correl.

Cracker Barrel is one of my favorites,it may not be a buffet but you leave just as stuffed.I'm a big breakfast person and will order breakfast there if I go at 8am or at 8pm,I think it's the best part of their menu.You can order a steak and eggs breakfast that comes with a huge steak that you'd pay $16 anywhere else along with 3 eggs,biscuits and gravy,fried apples,hash browns and grits for like $8.In my opinion one of the best deals out there.
