Opinions? My DH and I are booked on this for our upcoming trip and are wondering what it is like. Lunch is included?

Thank you for helping a DL newbie! :goodvibes

Yes my family and I did this tour this past July and we enjoyed it very much. You get head phones and you walk through different parts of the park while the guide tells you about Walt's visions and you get to hear Walt's own words from the tape recorder about his own ideas at different points during the tour. You get to ride a few rides like Jungle cruise, the train and small world and we got to sit through a show at the Tikki room. At the end we had lunch in the tour gardens and received a commemrotive pin.

We have taken several tours and I always enjoy learning new and different things about the parks. Oh and we also were able to see the lobby of Club 33 which, if you have never heard of it, is a private club for members only in New Orleans Square. I think it is worth it!

We did this tour in September and loved it as well. Our experience was a bit different. Our guide spent a lot of time on Main Street and in the area around the hub. We rode the Jungle Cruise and the train, saw the inside of the Golden Horseshoe while the band was practicing, saw the lobby of Club 33, and while we didn't get into the Tiki Room, we saw one of the animatronic flowers up close, guts and all. While we enjoyed it and thought it was worth the price, if you are a Disney fanatic you probally won't learn much new. It could be boring to those not so into Disney also. Oh and you get a "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" pin after lunch, cool if you're a pin collector!

Thanks for the help!

What is the lunch? I'm a very picky eater so I'm hoping it's something I will eat! :lmao:

Our lunch was in the restaurant in NOS across from the Blue Bayou. Before we began our tour, they give us a list of 5 entrees from which to choose. We went about 8 months ago, before the headsets. The only attraction we saw was Tiki room.
Our guide was fun and knowledgeable.

We went last week and our lunch was sandwiches. They are the same ones they sell at the bakery on Main Street plus either chips or fruit and 2 cookies.

What is the cost of this tour, and are there any discounts offered?

Where do you call to sign up?

Our lunch was sandwiches also, I think there were 3 or 4 choices, ham, turkey, a vegetarian choice and maybe one more, don't remember for sure. It came with choice of chips or fruit, two cookies and choice of beverage. It was good and pretty filling as well.

Tour price is normaly $59, there is a discount for deluxe and premium pass holder, 10%, I think. Check out the DL web site for more info and contact numbers.

We also went before they had the headphones, we ate in the Disney Gallery. It was fun, and the guide knew ALOT! My daughters loved going in Club 33, that was the highlight of the day.
