Not sure if I got the name right?? This is offered with the AP. How much lead time do you need to order this?

Is it worth it? Is there a link for restaurants that are included? Thanks! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

WE just got back from a 7 night stay in March and with that 20% we saved well over $150.00 minus the annual passholder $50.00 cost.
However I would only recommend this to folks who plan several sit down meals.
We used it at Brown Derby, LeCellier, Biergarten, The Plaza, Artist Point, Rose & Crown, Ohana and Chef Mickeys.
So with a family of 5 it worked out quite well for us!

As far as a link to all the places to use it click here, http://allearsnet.com/din/dde.htm
from Deb's site.

And we ordered ours a few weeks before leaving, but still haven't received the card, but they emailed a confirmation letter that worked fine.
Enjoy!

We just got back as well on Monday from a 10-day trip. The DDE worked out very well for us. We saved about $120 minus the $50 AP cost for the card. I actually bought my AP at MCO's Disney store. Then I called DDE when I got to my hotel and purchased the DDE card. They faxed an authorization letter to the hotel, so I could start using it immediately. We dined at Ohana's, Le Cellier, Boma, CRT, Boatwright's, and the POR food court, where DDE was accepted.

We have 13 going, 6 adults and 7 kids. I know you can use this for up to 10?? in your party. Will they divide the bill for us, so we can still save on the 6 adults and 4 of the kids meals?

Another question. We are going June 21st. If we order June 1, what are the chances of actually getting the card before we leave? Also, will it expire on the last day of June still?

They are still taking a long time to get the cards out due to demand. I ordered mine 2/17 and do not have it yet. They will e-mail you a confirmation letter that will be accepted in the restaurants along with the list of participating restaurants.

we went this past February and I think we paid for it in a day and a half! Of course my husband hates counter service restaurants so we tend to do almost all sit down, but for us it was definitely worth it. The only restaurant we went to that didn't accept it is the Teppanyaki restaurant in Japan in Epcot. Even with the Fantasmic dinner package (which doesn't accept it)Hollywood Brown Derby did use it to deduct the 20% on the drinks and wine that we had.

We used it in Feb., and it was worth it! It covered a lot of the places that we would have eaten regardless, so it worked out well for us. Of course, we're using it again in May and Dec., so we're really getting our monies worth out of it! :goodvibes We had to use the email as our cards since we hadn't gotten them before the trip, and we never had a problem with that. I printed out several copies to bring with us (and printed out the list of participating restaurants on the back)...just in case we lost it or it got wet/ruined somehow. Dh and I each carried a copy. :)

We used it with a party of 12, even though it says up to 10 people the discount came off of the entire bill instead of just for 10 of the 12 orders. Keep in mind you must have everyone on one ticket - for a 7 day trip we saved about $350 for the group.

Great idea Liznboys about the extra copies and list of restaurants on the back. I will do that as well!

Last July I calculated a savings of $125-150 for our family of three, mostly for dinners. Most of our breakfasts were items brought by us into the room. IMO, it's definately worth having. :cheer2:

Oh, that's great to know... we're treating 40-50 people to the Spirit of Aloha show for our wedding rehearsal dinner, and we were hoping we could at least get the discount for the first 10 people. That one meal alone will more than pay for the card.

Thanks everyone for sharing. I am definitely ordering one. :grouphug:

Please tell me about this disney dining card!! I haven't been loged in for a long time, and going to Disney at the end of the month for 10 days. Any info would be great. Thanks :cool1:

This has already saved us over $100 after two visits after paying for itself on the first trip in Feb. With it we are able to eat lunch at the "sit down" restaurants as cheap as counter service. Example: Sci Fi after discount was ~$32.00, Tomorrowland Noodle Station was $32.00 for less food. Not to mention the atmosphere was ten times better. We save an average of $10-$20 per meal. It's well worth the $50, especially on character meals.

The Disney Dining Experience card is now being offered to Florida residents and Annual Passholders at a cost of $50. The card will get you 20% off your food and beverage bill at select WDW restaurants. The card can be used for up to ten people in the dining party. Membership is good for 1 year from month of purchase.

Does it come with a name on it? I was just wondering if I could give the DDE card (if I order one) to my parents to use for their upcoming trip as well. TIA!

The card does have your name on it, and it is supposed to be for those with a Fla. Resident or Annual Pass. They never asked for my AP, but often times the restaurant manager had to approve it. I wondered if they could see I had an AP in their computers.

We have had the card for about 3 years now and love it. We generally pay for the card after 5 months or so. It's a nice perk that hopefully will be around for a while.

They do have the names on it. They would not let me order one for my father, even though he lives at the same address and is an AP holder also. They said only spouses could get a 2nd card.
