Has anyone done the day pass for the Rain Forest room in the spa?

Hi all,

I was browsing the "Gifts & Amenities" page on the Disney Cruise site, and found a Rain Forest 1-Day Pass to be used at either the Vista or Senses Spa & Salon. Has anyone ever purchased this? If so, what's included and is it worth it?

Thanks in advance!

Which ship?

We love going to the Rainforest Room as usually get the pass for the full length of the cruise. If you just want one day, they do not sell those on the ship so be sure to order before you leave.

The Rainforest Room is an area with moist and dry saunas, tile heated loungers, and various sensory showers to use. The day passes do not include anything besides entry.

I liked it on the Dream and Fantasy but not on the Wonder. I don't know about the Magic now that it is redone.

I've done it twice on the Fantasy and LOVED it! I am going on the Dream on Sunday and ordered two one-day passes this time. Didn't want a length of cruise package as the first day is too darned busy. Two days will be heaven!

I sailed on the Dream on January 30th, and we purchased a day pass on the ship on day 2 to be used on day 3.

The Dream also had two jacuzzis. You had access to the locker room, and the showers in there. It was very inexpensive and well worth it IMO.

I used a day pass on the Dream. I actually bought it inboard. It was heavenly. The warmed loungers look out over the Ocean and so do the hot tubs. I would go do the different aromatherapy showers that come out with different water strengths and temps and then go lay on the warm loungers. I didn't do the spa on the reimagined Magic but did go see it. The loungers are inside, not overlooking the ocean. For those who did not like it on the Wonder...why? I am cruising the wonder in September and plan to use it on a sea day.

I want to know the same thing. We were thinking of adding this to the rasul but maybe we shouldn't bother?

The Wonder's rainforest room is enclosed, not open to the ocean like the Dream class ship's. It's a smaller space with no Jacuzzis. We like them both, but it is a little different feel.

Just off the Dream for the second time and did the Rainforest Room again, although this time only used our favorite portions - the dry sauna that has the floor to ceiling window overlooking the ocean and the hot tubs, again, overlooking the ocean. Both so peaceful - we like to go early in the morning on a sea day - got there when they opened and were the only ones there. I'll add that the first time we did add a scrub and it was lovely...this time we did not. I was sunburned and couldn't imagine even a light scrub against my skin :)

I pre-purchased the day pass for the spa for my daughter and I on our Dream trip. We were on a 3 night cruise, we used the pass on our Nassau Day, we'd been there before and didn't want to get off of the ship. We loved it, so worth it. We loved the tile loungers and the 2 person hot tub.

I would think the Wonder is enclosed because of its sailing to Alaska and it could get quit chilly.

When you pre-purchase a day pass, do you have to specify which day you want to use it at the time of purchase?

Rainforest on Magic and Wonder are the same (even after refurb). The Magic/Wonder Rainforest has a small central court with heated tile loungers. Soothing music plays softly. A perfect place to read or take a nap. At the other side of the small central area there are some showers with different settings, like "Gentle Rain" "Thunderstorm" "Tropical Rainforest." These showers are for water therapy, and they often don't work terribly well. They are not enclosed, so they are not for showering.

Off the central court is a steam room that seats about 10, another steam room with menthol that seats about 2 (four if you are all good friends), and a sauna with tiled benches with a tiled angled back. The sauna is one of my favorite places on the ship.

There is no view of the ocean from the Magic/Wonder Rainforest.

On the Dream and Fantasy, there is a similar court with benches and with a couple of steamrooms. You can proceed through a glass wall to another room that has a glass wall facing the ocean. In this room you will find several heated tile loungers that face the ocean and a couple Jacuzzi tubs. Also, off of this room is a dry sauna that also has a view of the ocean, although through a smaller window. Note that this is all views of the ocean through windows or glass walls; it is not actually "open" to the ocean in the sense of breezes or being on a deck.

My wife and I enjoy the rainforest, but I think she puts it best: If we will be in a warm climate, she wants to lounge on the deck with the heat of the sun. If we will be in a cooler climate (like Alaska or the Pacific Northwest), she wants to lounge on the heated loungers in the Rainforest. Of course, on a cool or rainy day in the Bahamas or Caribbean, she wants to be in the rainforest.

Note that the men's locker room has a dry sauna that is complimentary and easily accessed. Also, I rarely see people in there. If you just want a sauna, use the one in the locker room. I don't know if the women's locker room has a sauna or not.

I think a one day pass for the rainforest is worth it. I won't usually buy a full cruise pass, because on port days I find I don't have time to go to the rainforest.

It sounds wonderful, but ditto from me on wanting to know if you have to specify what day you're going to use the day pass on, when purchasing from "Gifts & Amenities". It doesn't look like you do, on the form.

no, you do not have to specify which day you'll be using the day pass if you're buying individual day passes.

We bought one day passes for the fantasy. We did not have to specify the day. We were tempted to buy week long passes because so many people love the rainforest room. I am SO glad we did not. We did not enjoy it much. We went on a port day as recommended on here and it was super packed. We had to wait for everything. The tile loungers were super uncomfortable. My Dh could not even stand to stay on his. I padded with towels and hung out for about half an hour but found the angle did not work for me. I just found the environment very unrelaxing. People in line staring at you waiting for a lounger. People on the loungers snoring. The showers are neat but quick. We are not sauna people. Dh sat in the jacuzzi a bit. I was not inclined with everyone staring at the jacuzzis. For us we would rather find a spot on deck, with an adjustable chair, and have a drink.

I'm so glad to hear someone else didn't like the Rainforest room. The loungers were too hot for me and too hard. The jacuzzi was also the lounge type and I'm too short to fit in it properly. I couldn't keep my head above the water and be comfortable.

My DD and I were there by ourselves for a good amount of time. Then it got really busy. I'm glad I did it once but not really interested unless I'm going to a cold location. But if I can't see out on the Wonder, that is another no-go for me.
