Was it too cold to enjoy? thinking the first week of january. (1st to 5th). Paris at end of dec for few days... We have only been to Paris in summer.

We have been in January. (I think twice, actually. Maybe once it was February.) Obviously it wasn't cold enough to deter a second wintertime trip. Definitely not too cold to enjoy. Bring little gloves and stocking cap if you think you will get chilly. We had a blast. Hope you have a great trip! We love Crush's Coaster and the DLP Big Thunder Mountain is epic. If you get the chance, eat at Walt's.

I looked up photos of our trip. My kids were just wearing medium jackets. Im wearing a stocking cap in one photo at night. If you zoom in you can see what clothing people are wearing. This was first thing in the AM rope drop mid-January.

We did DLP in January a few times and really enjoyed it. Mostly it was still the Xmas season and it was cold but with a warm jacket and a (funny) hat not too bad.

And it was great to go inside or come back to the SQL with the warm fireplace.

We would definitely go in January again.

I love DLP Big thunder mountain! That was back in the time of paper FP and neither my husband nor my sister liked it so DD and I could do twice with their FP. I loved Walt's too.

It can vary a lot. I did 3 trips in January, for New Year day and following days. Once it was rainy and miserable, once it was extremely cold and miserable, once it was pleasant.
But a cold or rainy day at DLP is better than a day at home!

As you are from New York, I wouldn't worry too much. Someone from the Sahara or Florida might have a harder time :P
Yes, it'll be cold, but I don't think you notice it that much as you are constantly moving. Waiting, standing still, for a parade or fireworks is the hardest.
On average it's about 40 degrees in January. Lowest 5 degrees, highest 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

In Germany they have a saying: There is no bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.
Bring your gloves, your scarf, your beanie, extra layers. And just in case, an umbrella/poncho.

And depending on how you look at it, you can be lucky and see Disneyland Paris covered in snow. :) You can also be unlucky if you do not like snow.

Keep in mind, it can get busy that week. Children in Europe don't return to school till the 6th of January.

They have lots of indoors rides and archades so you will be fine we had a great time! Obviously it's not as good as the US parks but will have a good time 😄

We have a trip planned to Paris for my DD’s birthday the first week of January. We looked into hotel rooms in Paris over New Years and the prices were crazy! So we’re doing the days after Christmas in Paris, then 12/30 - 1/2 at DLP, and then back to Paris for a couple of days.

My DD really wanted an Eiffel Tower view, and for New Years the hotels we looked at were double (or more) compared to the days before and after NY. You may want to double check the hotel rates before you get too far in your planning.
