Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

Alright so our Magic Band skins arrived yesterday from Magic Your Band and they are AMAZING!!! I designed the Colorado flag one for my hubbs (it says Das Felsengebirge which is the Rocky Mountains in German) and I designed the Spectromagic ones for myself (RIP Spectro I still miss you). We got 6 skins each.

They also threw in the black circuit board skin and rainbow skin as extras. :-)

I gotta say the site is very easy to use, they shipped quick, and they look great! I'm definitely a fan!

...Now I just need MBs to put them on...haha! Which I had selected pink but now I've switched to blue since I think it will look better with my MB skin (hubbs picked blue too).

Thanks for sharing...do you know what resolution the images you used were? I think yours look good, and I just want to make sure I'm giving them images that are of sufficient quality. I'm guessing this is a garbage in/garbage out kinda thing.

Some of the ones posted look like the stickers cover the mickey head - does that effect how they work?

My Spectro images came out a little pixelated (totally might fault for not playing with the images more) but I still love it. Here's what is suggested on their site: "Ideally images should be 300dpi but good results can be obtained with smaller images. If you want to upload one image to cover the whole MagicBand Skin, we recommend that your image be 2348 x 278 pixels."

I followed roughly followed the recommended size and saved it as a jpg I believe. Basically it's just something you gotta play with and make sure it's something you really like. :-)

A collection of some of mine:

Was it pixelated when you designed/looked at it online? Ours look great online, but wonder how they'll turn out in real life.

Slightly off topic, but I have those same Mickey pepper grinders - only one "fell" and has cracks inside it now. Do they still sell them at WDW? I'd love to get myself another one, and a few backups. :)
Yes they still sell them. Saw them at wilderness last week.

Haha, wish I could request *2* bands, then I could make one good and one evil. When I have to choose, I lean more towards evil. Classic Maleficent is my girl! (do not even talk to me about that new movie, LOL)

You could make your one bad good and evil. One half could be good, and the other evil.

This is mine. I used two Sally Hansen nail polishes, one for the main area and another for the sides. Don't know if you can see the glitter on the edges--that's Sally Hansen Veil nail polish. I should've paid more attention to the name of that particular line... "Veil" means it can go over another color and just adds a sheer, glittery "wash" effect. I had to put on about 10 coats!

And that is all completely awesome and makes mine look rather... mundane! LOL!

They still sell them, saw them at WoD a few weeks ago. I have had mine for awhile though. & thanks! I have a few blank bands still I need to do. May do an even blingier one today, will post pics if I do.

Has anyone tried putting a "base" coat of white duct tape and then applying the temp tattoos onto the duct tape?
I'm looking for a white background but thinking my painting skills might not make it smooth and consistent ... the tape could be.

But would the temp tattoos adhere to the tape?
I might experiment this weekend just on the tape...

ps. absolutely in awe of everyone on this thread!! you are so incredibly talented and creative!!! you are all amazing!!

Question! We are going in just a couple days and need help!

My band was painted nice and smooth and then I decided it needed that fourth coat of white to really, really cover the yellow. Well, this last coat isn't as smooth as my others. Will the shiny clear coats totally hide that or do I need to add more coats to make it smooth? My husband thinks I should use acetone to basically start over. Ugh. I was hoping to be done sooner rather than later.
