Base/top coat, tattoos, clear polish, glitter polish highlights and another layer of base/top coat.
Ashleyrm, love your bands! Question, did you apply the tattoos directly to the band? Specially the yellow princesses one? They look so good.
I would love to decorate my MB but I need some help. If someone could send me a link for tattoos to use, good nail polish with glow in the dark, and even stickers would be greatly appreciated.![]()
Girl you are so talented!!

I am thinking of maybe coloring with sharpie, letting it sit for a day or two and spraying with sealer so it doesn't smear. It seems those that used sharpie had problems with it smearing when they used nail polish. Do you think that using a spray acrylic sealer might be better? I am better with pens then paints and do not want to invest in paint pens I will likely never use again.
Been working on mine this week.. started with a yellow band and painted it creamy white, gold polish, Mickey stickers and glittery polish over it (I call it Pixie dust) When it drys real good, I'll coat it with base coat polish.

Yes, first applied a clear coat - I used Sally Hansen "Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat" just because it was what I had on hand. Let it dry completely, and then apply tattoos following directions (place on band, pat gently with damp cloth or sponge and then peel off paper).
Just be really careful with placement because the tattoos really adhere to the nail polish. There is no moving them once they make contact!
Yellow bands are the "best" for applying the tattoos. The darker colors don't work so well and the orange band changes the colors of the tattoos (like it did to Sully). The pink bands work pretty well too.
One of my "grey" generic bands became the gold band with Mickey and a Red band was "painted" with silver glitter polish for my Sorcerer's Apprentice band.
Great job!! I love the gold glitter polish on the band too.
Finished my MB for our Christmas trip. I'm an accountant, not an artist at all, but I think I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

what size rhinestones did you use on your bands?I finished our first set for our upcoming trip tonight! I used enamel model paint and jewelry adhesive for the bling. I plan to seal them later this week with a spray sealer. Hope these show up since I have not used photobucket yet! http://s120.photobucket.com/user/meganhays81/media/B7B35995-C8DE-45C0-8C62-F754C7B266E8.jpg.html http://s120.photobucket.com/user/meganhays81/media/5B191B8A-3C8D-4858-84CC-C949B172F4AA.jpg.html http://s120.photobucket.com/user/meganhays81/media/30AD5C35-CE60-463A-A7A3-95577CD577F6.jpg.html http://s120.photobucket.com/user/meganhays81/media/F0154D0A-E5B1-43BA-ACC4-B870413AD3BC.jpg.html

Has anyone used nail polish remover to remove acrylic paint? The layer of glitter paint that I put on didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Thinking I need to do it over.
