Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

Love this band! :) What materials did you use? Do you think its waterproof?

Band held up perfect over our 9 day trip. It was originally a blue band painted all white with acrylic paint, dried and then applied tattoos according to temp. tattoo directions, dried and about 2 or 3 coats of clear base coat. I had to paint several coats of the acrylic until I couldn't see the blue and the black part of the band. Got in the pool with it on several times during the week and band still looks great now even after being home almost a month later.

Great board. Looked through it twice and overwhelmed in a good way with creative ideas.

I've hit a road block I'm hoping you can help me with. Our design was done with acrylic paint from Michaels(holds up great with minimal cracking). We hit the road block with our topcoat.

After adding a couple layers(in the curved position), it cracked... a lot. Has someone used a top coat on top of acrylic that is not likely to crack as bad. Willing to share the name brand and where I might find it? Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks! Did you use a nail polish base coat? Or base coat for paint? Also, were the bands curved when you painted them or flat? I am going to try this soon! :)

I have two magic bands that I used acrylics on. I think that I used an acrylic /sealer base coat on both to help the paint adhere well, but I may have used nail polish base coat on one of them. I used both the sealer and nail polish base coat over the acrylic paint on one, (I wanted it to be shiny and the particular base coat that I have is really shiny) and just the sealer on the other. Neither has cracked so far. We have annual passes and have been numerous times since the magic bands were painted, so they have been put on and off enough to put some wear on that part.

Thanks! Do you recall the name brand of the top coat you used? I'm hoping to used a tried and true top coat. :-)

We decided to go pretty straightforward and simple for our MBs. DH was originally going to go with a Tron-type theme, but decided to go just black and silver instead. Anything that's silver though, he added blue glow-in-the-dark paint on top of, so it will look cool at night. :)
(sorry for the worn-down nail polish)

HELP, HELP, PLEASE. I would like to post photos on the site, but I don't know how. Can someone please help me with EASY instructions. Thank you so much!

You need to upload the photos to a host site. I use Photobucket. Then you just copy the link that says img and paste that into your message. You can preview the message to make sure it works before you post it.

I started out with no plan except for this shiny blue paint. Saw it on and decided to make a Sully magic band. This is the 1st of 10 magic bands we have, so I'm sure I'll decorate more. :)

Here are bands for DH and DS. Pirates and Packers. I used tattoos and nail decals from party city. Packers band isn't quite what I wanted but it's fine.

I find that these close-up pictures really show all the flaws and mishaps with nail polish. Here are my favorites: Star Wars for DS and Jack and Sally to go with my Sally costume for MNSSHP.

I love your Sally band! That was a really clever way to use the tattoos (or whatever they were.)

My first attempt!!

Hi! I just did a band and put the jewels over Mickey. Someone told me it may not work because of the crystals. How was your experience?
