I love the duct tape idea! I'm definitely going to try this! There are even disney themed rolls of duct tape on Amazon!

I was shocked by how many types of Duct Tape there are! I swam with my band and the Duct Tape held up great!

Ok, These all look awesome. I have gone back several pages and cant find how to apply the tattoos? What kind of tattoos are you using, do you need a base or top coat of nail polish? HELP

I have learned so much on here and I asked the same question. We just finished our bands this weekend with the exception of my DS. He still can't decide what he wants to do. We just used regular temporary tattoos. We did what others have done by using a base coat first and letting it dry. Then we applied the tattoos and let them dry. Then applied another coat of base coat on top. They turned out really nice. We are really happy with them.

LOL.. I just yesterday bought the same Jake stickers!! Thinking of putting them on my band... It is SOOOO hard to decide what characters to put on the MB.. I love them all!

Has anyone tried white acrylic paint AND white nail polish as a base coat - on separate MBs - to see which works best?

I bought the Pure ICE base coat from Walmart. It worked great!

LOL.. I just yesterday bought the same Jake stickers!! Thinking of putting them on my band... It is SOOOO hard to decide what characters to put on the MB.. I love them all!

We also bought the same Jake, Mickey and Avenger tattoos for our bands. We got them at Party City and they were perfect. I had some other Disney tattoos that we incorporated with them and everything turned out so cute!

Nail gems are frustrating.

This is supposed to be sleeping beauty's crown. It was harder to do when I thought! It's all nail art crystals and nail art gold embellishments. The polish is a pink glitter polish and it is over a pink MB. I need to clean up the edges a bit but I like it!

Question: When y'all see the picture of my Magic Bands above, are they huge? Does anyone know how to make the picture smaller? I tried resizing it and it doesn't seem to be working. I feel like the picture is so big it looks like I'm throwing it in people's faces. It's a little overwhelming for size. I just figured out how to post pictures on here using photobucket. Any advice?

I use tinypic for uploading and select message board size. Yours isn't huge to me. On this thread especially, bigger pictures help me see the detail!

Has anyone had any trouble getting the tattoos to over smoothly in the groves of the Mickey head? Seems like that might be tricky.

I used acrylic paint, but just used if on the molded party of the band, so it wouldn't crack off if bent. I used clear nail polish to seal it. Wore it this last week with no problems.

I have some acrylic sealer that I was going to put over it. Did you paint right on the magic band or did you put down a base coat?
