Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

Here's our bands. Need to stop messing with them :) Not super happy with the red one (Sharpie and nail polish do not get along) but DS is- so that is all that matters.

kristac what type of trouble did you have with the sharpie and polish? I've already done my Micky head in polish, but wish I had done a sharpie color first. No going back? TIA

I did clear polish over everything to seal it- the clear polish made the sharpie on the mickey head bleed/run. I had better luck sealing around the mickey head and then using a disposable brush to dab just the sharpied mickey head with the clear polish. Careful not to put too thick a layer because then it will run.

Cute!!!! Are the edges like that because you removed the backing? I read somewhere that they're 7 inches. Is that the size with the backing removed? My wrist is right at about 7 inches so trying to decide which way will be better. Thanks!!

Yes. I have small wrists so I remove the black part of the bands.

I knew where you were from without even looking!! I grew up in western PA and my mom used to go to Pat Catans all the time :)

I just noticed your user name now! And factoring in this comment, I'm assuming SRU stands for the local college just about 20 minutes from me?

Wow! Those look great. If I could pull off one similar to the Red Sox, my husband might actually let me decorate his!

I am loving all of these ideas- and I thought I was going to be the only one who had this idea! Lol
Anyway- has anyone used washi tape yet? I bought a really cute pattern at Joanne fabrics and the plan is to place it on the band and then seal with clear nail polish. We will see! Not going till aug.

I found these cover band decals. They are a cute way to decorate your magic bands, and the decals are waterproof and removable. Here's a link to the site.

COOL!!! I love these. I am not creative enough to do it myself (well, I'm creative enough to come up with the idea but not the implementation, ha!) I wish they had more selection. A RunDisney one would be fantastic since we're planning on trying to make it for a couple races throughout the next year!! Or maybe a pink Minnie option for the pink band!

I think the issue with washi tape is it is not water proof? Not sure how it might react to nail polish.

Regarding the ones on DVC Central... How would you go about making those? Do Cricut machines accept vinyl? Can you program the design on a computer and then have it cut it? So cool!

These are all SO Amazing! :thumbsup2

We won't receive our magic bands until we check in :(

Could someone please tell me the exact measurements of the inner section of the MB please (not including the black outer band)? Maybe I can try to make up some sort of adhesive cover before we leave and try to use that? :earboy2:
