Has anyone canceled a flight?????

With all the things in the news the past couple days I ws wondering this. Has anyone who has an upcomming flight to WDW canceled it???? We fly out of Pittsburgh on September 16 and return the 23. Now I am not saying that we are ditching the flight, I am just wondering if anyone has or is going to do so on a trip that departs soon.

My DS and I are scheduled to fly on Aug 24. My family wants us to cancel in case there is a "plan B" in the works. I don't know what we are going to do. My DS is not that fond of flying to begin with, I don't want him scared so that he will never want to fly. I might wait a few days and see how things play out and then make a decision. If I do cancel, we have a chance at Patriots pre-season tickets. So at least that will lessen the blow of canceling our trip.

I was also curious if anyone had cancelled an upcoming trip.....DH and I are leaving on Tuesday the 15th, flying from Manchester NH to Orlando. My family is not thrilled that we are going....and I am terrified of flying anyway. DH thinks we will be fine....I am just so anxiety stricken! I wish I could fast-forward to after our trip to know that we will be fine!!

So as of right now.....we are going.....

I am glad someone posted this - because my sister and I are scheduled to leave with our 3 kids on August 23 for a long weekend trip. Now our parents and husbands are trying to get us to cancel. I hate flying anyway (especially after 9/11) and will admit to being scared, but we are determined to still go...

So - we have not cancelled, but have family members wanting us to cancel. Scary times we live in...

hey 825 were out of here too newark to mco yeah yeah yeah. just cant pack what i wanted in carry on and with me and no bags untill a few hours just going to wear our suits on the plane and go swimming when we get there.

Nervous - yes, but I'm still going! I've always been nervous, but I always go.

We leave on the 18th with two small children.
Not the biggest fan of flying, although better than my dh.
No chance of cancelling and would never have the patience to make the drive from PA. Scary news indeed, but don't want to put my life or lives of those in my family on hold. Have great trips everyone!!

We are not going until Dec but we are not going to cancel. Stay positive you'll be fine, i flew right after 9/11 and it was okay.

DH & I leave on 8/19 and the rest of his family (all 13 or so of them) are leaving on 08/20 to join us for DH's 50th birthday celebration & family reunion. If the thought of spending a week with my in-laws doesn't scare me, why should the terrorists???

The only difference between flying today and a week ago is knowledge of the plot. Think about it. I'm not a big fan of flying, but is ignorance really bliss?

We flew less than four months after Sept 11. And we are flying next month.
Sadly, I think this is something we will just have to deal with from now on. Innocence lost.

DS10 and I actually returned from our vacation at my parents house early Thursday. At first, I was nervous, but once I got home realized, was probably one of the safer days to fly.

Nope, the opposite actually. DH and I are going to Alaska at the end of the month, and the only change we've made is that we'll be leaving for the airport much earlier. As for Disney, I've just started planning our next trip back. We can't let them stop the way we live, I refuse to let anyone take Disney out of my life
