Has anyone bought a referbished digital camera?

I have been looking for a digital camera and keep coming across sites selling factory refurbished digital cameras. I have bought many items over the years that have been factory refurbished and have never had any troubles with any of them. I guess I am a little concerned about this large of a purchase having a problem down the road. Other than having a good return policy what else should I consider? Are there any companies you have delt with and have good experiences with?

One company I am considering has over 10,000 positive feedbacks on bizrate.com. Has anyone used Harmony Computers?

Tuffcookie bought a refurb. And ours had to be sent back to the factory to be repaired, so now it's a refurb too. Beyond that, count me clueless.

No experience with cameras, but the laptop I am currently on is refurbished, and I have nothing but praise for it I would do it again!

Towncrier, Mine was not refurbished, as far as I know.

Thanks for the replies! I go round and round trying to make a decission. I think I have it narrowed down to a couple of different models and to complicate things I see one of the models going for a good price new on ebay. UGH!

Sorry TC. I guess you got such a great deal that I thought it was a refurb. Probably just last week's model.

It must have been someone at work. My mind is going.............
