Has Anyone Booked a Hotel in DL Area with Priceline?

We have used Priceline for the Disneyland area quite a bit. We are leaving today and got the Anaheim Hilton for $50.00/night for 3/17 - 3/19 for two rooms. In Feb. on a Sat and Sun. we got the Crowne Plaza for $45.00/night. We always bid for a 3 star. I don't mind driving from the hotels into the park because the money we save is huge since we go at least 4 times a year. The hotels we have gotten for 45 - 60 are as follows, Hilton, Hilton Suites, Crowne PLaza, Marriott, and Hyatt. IMO it is worth it....

Awesome! Thank you! We will be doing this our next trip.. :goodvibes

Got it. Thanks! ;)

I think I'll use it for our May trip. I found a 3 star for $35 a night. Which is fantastic. What hotels do they usually give out for 3 star? Are they really close, the ones on Harbor?

I'm a little confused by your post. What do you mean by you found a 3* for $35 a night? Do you mean on Priceline or somewhere else?

3* hotels won on Priceline that I have received in DL Area are:

Hyatt
Marriott Suites
Crowne Plaza
Hilton
Marriott
Hilton Suites
Doubletree
Doubletree Suites
Holiday Inn Resort
Radisson Maingate (this place was the worst & I think it's been taken off)
Coast Anaheim Hotel (this one is now a different name-next to the Marriott)

These hotels are not the really close hotels on Harbor, although, some of them are on Harbor, further down.

Are any of these within walking distance?

How much is parking typically? Also, do you have to pay to park at DL? I'm thinking of making a cheap trip the last week of August, but I'm uncomfortable driving in Southern California. I wondered if a taxi now then (ie, once or twice a day) would be too expensive. Maybe not having to pay parking anywhere would help lower the real cost of the taxi . . .

The Marriott and the Hilton are really the only ones within walking distance. It is not as close a walk as the hotels directly across on Harbor, but it is not bad. You can also walk from the Doubletree Suites, but it is longer than the others. With Priceline, though, you will not be able to guarantee getting a particular hotel.

Parking is anywhere from free (Marriott Suites) to $20/day (Marriott), with all the others falling somewhere in between. Disneyland charges $11/day to park. Some of the hotels have free shuttles and others use ART, which costs $3/day per person (kids under a certain age are free). I've never used a taxi there, so I'm not sure of the cost. Driving around the resort area isn't too bad, though.

Astoria, actually. Red Lion, and it wasn't great, I can tell you! :scared1: It was $55 a night for a single Q room.

Oh yeah that Red Lion does show up;-) That is pretty far North for us, but a fun place and $55 is awesome for the coast, believe me. I finally gave up on our trip that far North, and camped. Was fun too though ;-)
