Anyone have feedback on the Backyard BQ at Fort Wilderness? We have talked about going there several times but have never fit it in. We have seen the area with the stage where it goes on, during the day. What is it like and is it worth fitting in or trip?

Just bumping as I have never gone to this, but I do have a priority seating for December. I would like to hear everyone's opinions also.

Somebody has to have been there. Anything you can tell me about it will be appreciated. Thanks.

I would like info also. We are going to Disney in December and I'm a little worried it will be too cold. What are the thoughts of some people who have gone in December before?

We really enjoyed it. Food was your typical bbq fare, don't remember specifics, but think hot dogs, corn on cob, ribs or chicken (not sure). Anyway picnic table seating and all you can eat.

The entertainment is the real treat. Line dancing, they teach you how. Dancing w/the characters, etc. It's loud, fun and we all had a great time (adults & kids.) If you are willing to get up and dance it's a great time.

We went in April and really enjoyed it. The only thing that made ours a little less enjoyable was that my kids didn't like the loud music, we left right after dessert. There are ribs, chicken, hot dogs, corn on the cob, lemonade, mac & cheese, watermelon and cake. Also, you get unlimited beer too. You won't get the characters coming to all the tables like other character meals but you can go dance with them. Mickey did make the rounds though. It is Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale all dressed out in country garb. You probably want to like country music as well. A must do atleast once.

It is outside so if you are going during summer, it may be unbearable, we went in April and it was really nice.

Easy to get to, take your hotel bus to MK and then the boat to FT. wilderness but getting back can be tricky if the MK closes early. Normally have to take bus to Downtown Disney, etc.

THANK YOU Laura1994 & vgaskin!

I really appreciate your input. It sounds like a good time to me. Although I may not be the type to kick up my heels,I do enjoy country music. I have a DGD & DGS going along, that won't hesitate to dance with the characters. So I'll be able to snap the pictures. Thanks again for the info.
