Has anyone been to Magic Kingdom on labor day ?

Has anyone been to the Magic Kingdom on labor day ? If so how crowded was it ? We are thinking of going in the evening on arrival day which will be labor day. Please let me know what you think ?

Yes! We've been twice and will be there again this Labor Day. Parks aren't busy (I figure because people are traveling back home that day). The rest of the week after Labor Day is even better!

Labor Day is a great time to go--not near as bad as other holidays.

We were there on Labor Day a few years ago and the MK was EMPTY! The least crowded I've ever seen it! We did so much in such a short time. It was awesome! Not sure if or how much the crowds have increased since then, but it was awesome!

Great ! I hope it's not to crowded. It will be the day they have the electrical parade and wishes. EP is only on Monday and Thursday so I was worried it might be crowded. HS has evening EMH on labor day so I decided not to go there. Even though we did last year and it wasnt to bad but, that may have been because it rained some and everyone started leaving. I have already planned on going to MK because we havent seen the electrical parade yet

Labor Day is easily the best holiday to visit, in my experience.

We went to MK last year on Labor Day. It was definitely hot, but it was also not crowded at all. As the day went on, it got less and less busy. The rest of the week was even better crowd wise. We are going back the same week this year. have fun!

Yes, MSEP replaced SpectroMagic early last summer.

Did they have the electrical parade last year ?

Yeah, we stayed for it and got a bench not far from the Country Bears building no more than 1/2 hour before the parade started. It was nice, that's the first time we've ever seen a parade without sitting on the ground at least an hour ahead of time. We stayed for the fireworks as well, and getting the bus back to Pop wasn't bad at all.

we will be in WDW the week after labor day, its great to hear about the lack of crowds!!

The Sunday the day before Labor Day in the MK can be a little crowded - but we're talking moderate crowds, not heavy. All of the other parks will be dead empty, and the MK is almost empty all other days around Labor Day. That whole week before and after Labor Day is a very slow time and a great time to go to avoid crowds.

On the easywdw web site it says that MK most crowded day in September will be labor day But I'm going to not worry about it because of those who were there last year said it wasn't that crowded

Sunday will be the most crowded of the Sat-Sun-Mon weekend, but moderate crowds only, not obscenely crowded. MK is usually open late, 1am or later on EMH, so that adds a bit to the crowds too on Sunday. We've done the last five Labor Day weekends and the crowd level has been pretty much the same.

From Monday on nothing is crowded. A few more locals at the parks on Monday, but most tourists are leaving that day and flying/driving home.
