Has anyone been to Cancun lately?

As in, the last month or two?

dh and I will be there in another month or so, and wanted some good restaurant and/or activities recommendations.

Is everything back up and running since Wilma? Any restaurants I'm going to read about on the 'net that sound good, only to arrive there and find they haven't reopened yet?

I've been there before, but it's been 16 years! All I really remember is partying it up at Senor Frogs and Carlos & Charlies , then getting up way too early and taking a long bus ride to Chichen Itza (sp?) We don't want to do Chichen Itza this time, we only have one day to spend together before dh goes to conferences, and it's too long a bus ride. Has anyone been to Tulum? How is it? I think it's near the coast, isn't it? Any hurricane damage?

We'd love to go snorkeling. Last time my friend and I took a little day trip to Cozumel to snorkel, but can't remember much about it, other than how gorgeous those fish were! Any recommendations on transportation or short day-trips to Cozumel, or Isla Mujeres?

We're going to be staying at the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach. Any info about the hotel would be great, too.

I was there for a short period over Christmas and NO everything was NOT up and running.

Downtown was in good shape, but lots of hotels/resturants in the hotel zone were closed and some of them will be closed a LONG time

DH is going in April, I chose not to go with (it is a work trip--I didn't care for Cancun when we were there a few years ago). We did eat at a place called La Distillaria (or something like that). The food was very good and it was an entertaining place.
