Has anyone been asked....

to move resorts ? AAA TA called me on Thursday and informed me that Disney had a special going now through mid Feb. where I could save $100 and get a ticket upgrade. We're staying at ASMo and would have to move to ASMu and would get a Typhoon Lagoon and Disney Quest upgrade for free. Since we're going to be there the second week of Feb. and my DS & DD are pumped for Buzz Lightyear, I declined the savings. I just couldn't break their heart . The TA from AAA informed me the ASMo was filled up and I guess there are groups or something wanting to stay there.

It happens... If they know in advance, as they do in your case then they will try and offer people to move as early as the can, as they did with you. If it is something that sneaks up on them they will offer people to move when they are there checking in...and if it gets into a real crunch situation, it is no longer an offer and they just move you (but when that happens it is generally the people that are checking in late).

That would be just great . We want arrive until late in the afternoon, say around 5.

No worries, I am talking late...after 9-10pm check in's are generally the ones that are moved if they don't have enough people taking the offer. If you are checking in at 5pm you are fine...

Did your AAA agent specifically say Disney had asked that you be contacted and asked to move or did your agent simply say that she could get you the offer if you moved.

The reason I am asking is what she is offering you is the current MYW package deal that offers exactly what she offered you. More than likely it was not available at Movies but is still available at Music so the only way she could get the special for you is to move you to a resort where it is still available.
