I found some great fares to MCO from a smaller regional airport but don't know anything about them.

Anybody??????

Used it?! Has anyone heard of it? Not me. Where are you flying from?

I've never heard of them either. I did a Google search, and didn't find much there, until I dug a bit. There's a Sky Value charter airline in the UK that has flights to Orlando, so I'm assuming that's it.

Being a charter airline, they tend to work differently than regular airlines... but being across the pond, I dont know if those differences are the same as those in the US.

I'm assuming that the "regional" airport you're referring to is Gary-Chicago, and if that's the case then I'm looking at the right website. As far as I can tell, they're basically a charter tour operator who has contracted with an airline (that they may or may not own) to operate flights for them. So, when you book airfare, you become a "tour participant" and are bound by the travel contract as set forth by the company. So here's the bottom line: It's probably an OK deal, but make sure you very carefully read and understand the terms and conditions involved BEFORE you confirm the reservation. Most of these charter flight operators are just fine to work with, but there's some out there that can be less than reputible. I don't know about these guys one way or the other, but as long as you're careful going into it, you'll be just fine.

The other thing to understand about US Charter airlines is that if they plane does not fly for ANY reason all you are entitled to is a refund. They generally have no other obligations to get you where you are going. So if the one plane they have breaks then you don't go. (And this has happened with charter airlines in the past)

Your cash is generally safe but be SURE to use a CC. Charter airlines are suppose to escrow your cash until they have delivered the service. There were some folks on here who had some problems getting thier cash back a few years ago when SouthEast up and quit flying. It was much easier for those using a credit card.

Here's the website for SkyValue USA: http://www.flyskyvalue.com/

I suppose that SkyValue USA is worth considering for a WDW vacation -- if you live near Gary/Chicago Airport, and if the very limited schedule (3 flights per week from Gary to Orlando) meets your needs, and if the terms and conditions are acceptable to you.

Given the frequent and often inexpensive service to Orlando from O'Hare and Midway on "real airlines," there are probably better choices for most Chicago area passengers.
