Elemis Absolute Face and Body Treatment ($144, 105 minutes): A specialized treatment combining 5 different massage techniques on the back of the body to relax, re-balance and re-energize the body, mind, and spirit. The treatment is completed with a 60 minute aromatherapy and pressure point facial and scalp massage.

If you have, was it worth the money. I'm looking at treating myself to one massage and have never done any of this spa stuff before.
THanks!

I've done it and it is great.

However....

Be forewarned that at the end you will be in an incredibly relaxed state and even though I swore I wasn't going to buy any products...I did. Let's just say when you spend enough in spa products you get a free gift, you've spent too much LOL

I have done the Elemis Absolute Face and Body Treatment , and I found it to be very relaxing! Although I was already quite relaxed and stress free during my March 2002 cruise, I just heard such wonderful reviews about the spa I just had to try it! This particular treatment was a bit pricey and longer than the others, but I think that it was worth it. You do get what you pay for at the spa. The massage was wonderful, and I really enjoyed the facial. The relaxing music was also a plus! I was worried going into it, not really aware of what to expect, but the people at the spa made me feel comforatable. After my treatment I was refreshed and rejuvinated! Be aware though, that afterwards you do receive the bill, and they do try to get you to buy the products that they used on you during your treatment. I knew beforehand that this was going to occur, so I was prepared...feel free to say you will think about it if you are not in the mood to buy right then and there. You can always go back to the spa to make a purchace of a product. I do not know if I would do this particular treatment again, but i would definately go back to the spa to try another. Good luck with making your decision, and I hope that I have been of some help!

This is one of my all-time favorite treatments! (The other is the seaweed wrap.) It is soooo decadent and relaxing. Another good option is ladies night, which is very similar. In that one, you get your massage and facial in a private room and are then taken into the Rainforest where you sit in one of the heated tile loungers and get a foot massage, then are served chocolates and champagne. It is only offered on Nassau night, and they can only take four people at a time due to the number of loungers. Since it is only offered twice that night, it is VERY limited.

Oh yes, many times. :D Hands down, my favorite splurge spa treatment, I have to do it once every cruise.

I am dying to try the ladies night thing Barb talks about next time I am on the Wonder, but on the Magic I will definitely be doing the Elemis Absolute Face & Body Treatment once again.

I have heard that there will be some changes to the Absolute Face and Body. it is going to be renamed, and the facial will be a Japanese Silk Facial. I'll try it out and report on it as soon as it changes. It sounds really nice, although I'll miss the fruit active face mask. But I bought some on the Magic so I can enjoy it at home.

Oooh, that sounds great! I wanna do that! Too bad it's only offered to the ladies!

I was thinkingof doing at the end of the trip, b/c that way I'll be ready to go back to work. lol Thanks for all the info! I'll let you know how it was when I get back!

Hi,
Do they massage the back of you (legs, back feet) or just your back?
I was seriously thinking of doing this one too, but Im not a big fan of getting my legs rubbed, im more into getting my back rubbed....that is one of my very favorite splurges!!

What's wrong, dave, not up for a little cross-dressing?!?! :jester: :jester: :jester:

Although they normally do you legs, I'm sure they will be happy to concentrate on your back if you ask. Hubby has asked them to concentrate on certain areas when he has sore back muscles and they have always been happy to do so.

How much does the Ladies Night cost? Also, how long does each part last? I'm just wondering when my family can expect to see me afterwards. ;)
Thanks!
Laurie

i would also like to know how much ladies night is! That sounds great! Also, does anyone know how much the Cabana massages are on Castaway Cay? That sounds great too but I'm sure I'll have to choose ONE! Which do you recommend?

I can't remember the exact cost, but I think it is comparable to the Absolute Face & Body (around $144 maybe?). It is a two hour treatment...they have you take a shower in the locker room first(there are private stalls) and ask you to wash your hair because they put in a hair treatment. Then the facial and massage are done for the first hour, and for the second hour you head into the Rainforest where they give you a foot massage and you get the champagne and chocolates then spend the rest of the time experiencing the different sauna rooms (you do that on your own).
