DBF and I are looking for a hotel for ONE night- we are flying in on a Saturday and arriving in Orlando at 4:00 so we won't be getting to our hotel until probably 6:00. We'll probably go out for dinner and then just go back to the hotel to sleep. The next morning we will drive to St. Pete's Beach for two days before we head back up to WDW for 10 days.

We are basically looking for a place to sleep and shower for one night. I was thinking of booking Travelodge Suites on 192 because we stayed there once about 6 years ago and I know it's inexpensive.

while I was on Travelodge's website I found this Thriftlodge for $19.99 for the night.

Do I chance it? Does anybody know where it is on 192?

Thanks!

IMO, zero dollars is overpriced for a Travelodge facility. We have stayed in them 4 or 5 different times in as many different states, (always for just one night, reassuring ourselves it would be OK) and every time, they are gross. Moldy tubs/sinks, crunchy, sticky rugs, hairs in the sheets, etc. There are so many other places...how about the Apollo Inn on 192? Haven't been there, but AAA gives them 3* and if you cruise the net, I think you can get a room w/2 beds, fridge and microwave for about $30. Don't get stuck (and that could be literally as well as figuratively) with a Travelodge!
