Hi all!

Has anybody been to Sanaa? I have a ressie there in December and was wondering if anybody's been there and how was it.

I've done searches on this board and couldn't find anything on it.

Thanks!

Anna

I ate at Sanaa with my mom shortly after it had first opened. I enjoyed the restaurant very much. It has a really nice atmosphere and the food was very good. One of the best things they have on the menu is their bread and dipping selection. You pick multiple kinds of breads and then different sauces to dip them in. It was one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten.

If you have ever tried Indian food then this would be a wonderful restaurant for you.... If you've never tried Indian food, try this anyways..... Indian food is so good - so flavorful. See my link to my dining review as I review it with pictures. This was our favorite dinner as far as food was concerned. Wonderful atmosphere and staff, and we had a great view of the courtyard where all the animals were eating dinner. It was so fabulous I just can't say enough good things about it!

I was there on Saturday. DH loved it and I liked it. The bread service is VERY good, as others have said. We also loved the vegetable samosa. DH really enjoyed the cornish hen entree and declared it the favorite of our trip. I had the sustainable fish. It was *ok*. I expected more flavor but I found the broth to be quite bland and I wouldn't get it again. I expected something spicier with more complex/interesting flavors. However, I LOVE spicy foods etc. so those who are afraid to go to Sanaa but like fish might really enjoy this dish. I did eat the whole thing though. ;) Desserts were good. I had the sampler. My favorite was the chai cream. DH had the chai cream and loved it. Kids selections were good too and the kids got chocolate cake for dessert, not the same ice cream that they got everywhere else.
