Has any Annual Passholders gotten their magic bands yet?

I got mine yesterday. Got the right card with the right name so I guess I am lucky. Not too worried about the expiration date.

Received mine today by USPS along with AP Discount Card and Passholder slider

We are upgrading our tickets to AP's when we go in October. We will already have our MB's for our resort stay but will we get another set when we upgrade? I assume we won't get them onsite and they will be able to link the new AP's to our current MB's, but will we get new AP MB's sent to us after we get home? Just curious...

Received ours today. Got the correct Gold cards, sliders and the MBs for our whole family in the proper colors. :thumbsup2

We received ours yesterday!

Quick question... what are the gold cards? We received black/charcoal ones... Should I be worried?:(

If you are an AP whose pass includes parking you should receive the Gold card. It also serves as your AP discount card.

The Black card is for passholders who do not receive complimentary parking as part of their pass privledges.

Well phooey! I'm an AP with parking privileges. What the heck.

received ours today

no 'warning' e-mail - for the past few days on MDE it has just said "status" which was fairly useless

3 magic bands

3 gold cards (all 3 of us have regular APs)

expiration date on the cards is one day early IMO (I need to check my records but we bought them on 9/15 and these expire on 9/14 so either I'm wrong - but I don't think so or they've closed that loophole where you got to use them for a year and a day)

I noticed our cards also had our APs expiring a day early. Never received an email about the bands being shipped and my name is spelled wrong on the gold cards they sent.

I'm sure somebody must have explained it before, but couldn't find the info.

My bands are all showing up in My Disney Experience, with the right names and colors, but I have no idea when they "ship". Under status is shows nothing, just a blank space ...

I noticed somebody here even had the tracking number, how did you get that???

Thanks!

You will receive an email and also a yellow button of notification on your MDE when you log in to let you know your bands have shipped and you will be provided a tracking #.

I have a question I hope someone can answer. My husband and I are APs and we just got the email Saturday that our MBs are finally on the way. I assume they will be here Tuesday or Wed. Our APs expire on April 20th. We are planning to renew (probably this week when we go to the parks.) My question is, will we have to recustomize and order new MBs or will the ones we get this week be good for our renewed passes?

I never received an email nor did a yellow button appear with the tracking number. The status was just always blank. Anyway, I received our AP bands yesterday.

What a disaster this has been for my family.
All 4 of us (DW, DS, DD and myself) have AP's. We purchased through DVC.
Received our bands & cards in the mail. Each gold discount card has the wrong expiration date. So, I called the AP hotline. And that's when the fun started...

I went through about 6 phone transfers (DVC, ticketing, general info, internet dept., and more) and everyone told me that someone else had to help. About 90 minutes on the phone...

I also found out that the expiration date for our AP's was WRONG. Our passes expire in February, however Disney has them expiring mid-December. Very weird how that happened!

To make a long story short, I've been directed to "stop by" Guest Services the next time I'm in a park and they'll be able to help me.
Somehow I'm doubtful about that....

I think if people check the notification center they will find their tracking numbers.

FWIW ~ my dot is an orange/red color.

Ours came in this week, all 4 are showing the gold cards, I didn't check the spelling or the expiration date, so now I will be doing that when I get home. Sadly, only 3 of the 4 sliders were in the package, so we are missing the slider, I'm guessing that's not going to be something they will replace, but who knows, right? I wish they would somehow load the discounts on the bands, so we wouldn't have to carry the cards, but I have to carry my Tables in Wonderland card anyway, so I guess it's not a big deal.

My discount card is also one day prior to my AP expiration. No big deal for me though. We have three different expiration dates that all overlap. So one day doesn't matter much to me.

I am glad I saw this thread because I did not even think to lift the cardboard piece holding the bands up and see the cards underneath! I just pulled the bands up and pulled the sliders thru the slot.

Ours had a tab that said "pull here".

Was yours missing that?

Does anyone else ever wonder what the point of all this is? I now have an RFID AP card, Magic Band, and a Discount card. The RFID card that I've had all along serves the same functions as the other two combined...

Not leaving out customers that spend money? I am hoping to be able to link a credit card to it in the future not just while we stay onsite. I know I spend more when I can use the band so it would be smart for Disney to allow it.

When I got my ap renewed in jan the expiration date was wrong. I did figure out that the wrong expiration date was the day I linked my willcall voucher to my disney account. It should've been jan 24 but was dec 1. Fortunately for me I checked my expiration date while I was there by going to the front desk and asking the cm to check. It was the day after I got it but she said I only had 300 ish days left when it should've said I had 364 days left. I keep telling folks to check their expiration dates when they pick up their APs especially if they link their willcall or vouchers prior to arriving. My gold card has the wrong name on it and my expiration I'd also 1 day off like others. We are still waiting for 5 more bands to arrive so we will see how the rest of us do. Good luck

Thanks for the advice - you're absolutely correct, they have my expiration date listed as the day we purchased renewals.

I thought that might be the case. I wasn't sure which it was, the date I bought my renewal or linked it since they were both the same day. I knew I could not be the only one this happened to. I hope others see this message and check their expiration dates
