Has any Annual Passholders gotten their magic bands yet?

Feeling a bit left out here :guilty:

No email, no website status (saying they're shipping) and no magic bands in the email and we're close to the end of the month ... trying my best to be patient ...

Got ours yesterday. I checked this past Sunday for the status and it still said they were customizing, but lo and behold, they came yesterday. Don't know if the status ever changed on MDE or not since I haven't logged back in. It took about 10 days to receive them from the day I ordered them.

They all came in the same box, with the 4 sliders and 4 gold discount cards (the expiration date is correct).

I feel like the discount cards are just something extra to lug around. I plan on taking our 4 RFID AP cards with us no matter what (I don't trust the MBs enough yet to know they'll always work properly), and now I'll have to take 4 discount cards and my TIW card? Hmmmm, maybe I'll just take 1 of the discount cards with us -- it's not like we separate from each other for any reason.

Got mine today with the wrong name on the gold card. Almost right expiration number by 1 day. The name on the card is a very strange name that I can't pronounce. It actually looks line dome typed with their fingers on the wrong keys. I did both mine and my dh on the same day but just saw his was preshipped yesterday and mine last week.

My daughter and her family got theirs yesterday. All correct except expiration date is short by 1day. They all got gold cards with correct names. So they did better than I did. My husbands hasn't arrived yet. I did send an email yesterday about the wrong name on my card. I'll post back if I ever get a response

When I got my ap renewed in jan the expiration date was wrong. I did figure out that the wrong expiration date was the day I linked my willcall voucher to my disney account. It should've been jan 24 but was dec 1. Fortunately for me I checked my expiration date while I was there by going to the front desk and asking the cm to check. It was the day after I got it but she said I only had 300 ish days left when it should've said I had 364 days left. I keep telling folks to check their expiration dates when they pick up their APs especially if they link their willcall or vouchers prior to arriving. My gold card has the wrong name on it and my expiration I'd also 1 day off like others. We are still waiting for 5 more bands to arrive so we will see how the rest of us do. Good luck

Ok, now I am wondering how this will work. We are about to do the DVC PAP renewal. We just returned a couple of weeks ago but our next trip is not until Nov so we will not want to activate them till then. Which brings me to my question/confusion. How does this work now with getting MB and booking FP. I have read different things here and different things on FB. If I link them early we will get MB & FP options but not have all our days for the next year and our trips we have planned?

I am joining in on this thread to maybe get some help with AP and MB/FP+ This will be our first time buying AP. We have a trip planned for May and then again in November. I thought that your AP start when you first walk through a park? Is this not the case? I was going to order our AP's this weekend and then link them right away since we can book FP+. Can someone help me understand this better.

I ordered ours on 3/8. It still shows on MDE that they are being customized. We have exactly 3 weekends left (end of April) until our passes expire (2 weeks are blacked out). I'm seriously beginning to wonder if we'll ever get to try them! :confused3

FWIW, I ordered mine about the same time as you, and our APs expire on April 20 and we just got our bands in the mail Tuesday (email sent Saturday that they shipped.)

My mom and I ordered ours on the same day, within minutes of one another.

I got mine this past Monday. Hers just got shipped today.
We're thinking it has to do with our color choices. :confused3

I haven't ordered mine yet because I already have 3 sets of bands from resort stays and I'm worried they'll cut my FP+ booking window down to 30 days since I still enjoy a 60 day window at this time.

unless there is a glitch it shouldn't. I was able to book FP+ at 60 days even though I got another set of MBs as a passholder. the 30 days didn't override my 60 day mark. It worked just fine.

We received ours, received the correct bands, correct gold cards, wrong exp on mine and DD, my 2 DS's have been adopted by another family. Theirs came with a different last name each. Hmmmm this is just comical. :happytv:

"Unless there is a glitch"

Famous last words when dealing with MyMagic+

You are lucky then. I only have a 30-day booking window and had a 60-day window before I ordered my AP MagicBands.

I believe you need an onsite resort stay linked in order to have the 60-day window. This is true for AP holders as well.

I was responding to a poster above who says that she had a 60-day window (even as an AP holder), who was responding to the poster who has a 60-day window as an AP holder, having previously had a resort stay (but, to my understanding not with an upcoming one). I did have a 60-day window, having previously had a resort stay but that has reduced to 30 days just in the last few days, since my MagicBands were ordered. Coincidence? I think not.

Thanks for the first hand report. This is exactly what I was afraid of, and is why I haven't ordered my AP MagicBands yet.

If I understand you correctly, you shouldn't have a 60 day window anymore since you don't have an upcoming resort stay. This is exactly what I would assume would happen. Shouldn't it be?

I finally got notice of shipping. They are sending 2 day Priority so hopefully by mid week they'll be here! :cool1:
