First of all, I don't think she would kill off Ginny and Harry. The main theme of this book is that love is the strongest magic. I actually think that the combination of Harry and Ginny with Ron and Hermione is part of the point.

The entire series (I didn't understand this until reading the 6th book) shows the parallels between Harry and Voldemort. They have similar backgrounds, but Harry came through it with an great capacity for love, while V came through it with none. That's the whole point. Harry will surviive because of the love of his parents, his friends, Sirius, Dumbledore, and all the others whose lives he has touched.

As for which book is the best, I have to say I use my DD9 as a measure for that one. I have read all 6 books to her aloud. I have watched her emotional reaction to things that I knew were coming up. When Harry and Cedric decided to take the cup together, she was so excited and happy that she was giggling. When Cedric died on the next page, she was shocked.

Book 4 was the best by far. There's a reason it won the Hugo award.

The thing i think is going to happen is that harry will kill voldemort(obviously), but then his scar will disappear. This will not only keep Harry alive, but prevent anyone else from taking the series becuase the whole series is based around his scar
