I think there's a very logical reason why they didn't have Harry stunned in the movie... it's due to the nature of the medium. In the book, JKR could textually describe the thoughts and feelings that Harry was experiencing as he helpless watched the death of Dumbledore. In a movie, that option doesn't exist. If stunned, like on the train at Hogwarts Station earlier in the movie, all Harry would be able to do would be to lay there on the ground like a statue and look expressionless. That just wouldn't "work" with an audience on the screen. Try to envision what it would look like if they showed Dumbledore stunning Harry, the exchange between Malfoy and Dumbledore, and then the camera cutting back to Harry who's seen laying on the floor glassy eyed and staring off into the distance in the direction of the others. The element of Harry's conflict about coming to Dumbledore's aid vs. following his directions is only a likely bonus in the way they did it in the screen play.Really? I wish they had included Dumbledore casting the spell on Harry that froze him so he could not react.
found some photos from the filming of 7

I found some more pics from Deathly Hallows

The Shell cottage is exactly how I imagined it.
Who do you think that one black haired witch is? They are all holding hands in the one scene, second row, second picture(with griphook), but then the next scene she's got her wand raised. any ideas?
Well, I saw the movie yesterday. I know this won't be a popular opinion, but it was my least favorite of all the films. I felt too much was altered or left out. I am aware of the film limitations, but I think it could have done better.
The thing that bothered me the most was the relationship between Harry and Ginny. They really didn't develop it. Oh, there were a couple of looks, but that was it. It seemed very forced to me. I also think the actor that plays Ginny is not very good. She has no expression. She seems to just walk through her lines. Of course, it is very hard to know what an actor will be like several years in the future when they are cast so young. She was fine din the other films, but her parts weren't all that big. Now, she needs to show some facial emotion. I saw very little. It really bugged me.
Don't get me wrong. I still enjoyed the film. I will purchase it when it comes out, just like I have purchased all the others. I just think it could have been better.
Here was another thing that's been bothering me. Where were their robes? I don't remember seeing them wear robes at school. Am I crazy? They've always worn robes in the past. I don't remember seeing them at all.
It looks like Bellatrix Lestrange to me. But I can't think of what scene this corresponds to in the book right now. Who is the hairy guy she's pointing her wand at?Who do you think that one black haired witch is? We saw the movie yesterday. We enjoyed it, but no one in the family thought it was the best.
I think they left a lot of the relationship stuff out to make more of an impact in the two next movies. I hope there isn't major tampering with the story next time, just to squeeze out enough drama for the first DH movie.
Ginny, the actress, is a major disappointment. She is so flat and soft spoken. But I was never a huge Harry/Ginny fan....he should have ended up with Luna!
I've always found the adults in the story to be very interesting, but they sort of get put on the back burner in the movies. No Tonks and her love story with Lupin, etc.
Interesting story about our movie experience....
We left out the theater using one of the exits near the screen in the theater. The door lead to a small hallway, leading to another door that exited the building. The door was jammed shut. The door back into the theater didn't have a handle on it. We were stuck.
The temperature outside was almost 110! This little hallway had no AC or lights. We banged on both doors, but no one helped us. I tried calling the theater, but only got the movie times.
Twenty minutes into this ordeal, I stuck my fingers under the door in an attempt to pry it open. I slowly pushed my fingers up the side of the door (had anyone pushed on the door, I would have lost my fingers!). I was able to see the door wasn't locked, just jammed.
After going Bruce Lee on the door I was able to get it open and escaped! My kids were hysterical by then, but I found the manager. She admitted she was aware of the problem and was working on it, but couldn't put a sign up or block the door because of fire codes. lol She only offered some passes for our troubles.
Not the way I wanted to experience HBP!![]()

I loved the new scene everyone raising their wands to extinguish the Dark Mark. It was the light putting out the dark, which is a good foreshadow to what's to come in the Battle for Hogwarts.
We saw it again last night and I must say I agree with you about Ginny's acting abilities. She is very emotionless. I couldn't help but wonder if she was cast because of her look rather than ability without them realizing the large part she would eventually play in the story.
It's very hard to determine what a child's acting abilities will be when they get older. Sometimes, it is obvious. They just have it. Up to this point, her parts have not been demanding. She is an adorable girl, but not a good actor. Too bad.
Since my daughter has been involved in the acting world, I've seen a lot of child actors who could play the part ten times better (including my daughter). Sadly, most of them will never get the chance this girl has received. I predict she won't do much after the HP series is finished.
it's got to be the sceen where herminie changes into bella to go to the bank. that's the only time that bellatrix and griphook are together.
