POA: During the dinner scene at the Dursleys, Dudley is shown in a close-up watching a game-show where a young woman is putting on large headphones. But when the shot returns to the whole room, you can see the girl on the TV putting on the headphones all over again.


TSS: When Harry, Ron and Hermione rush to Hagrid after the end of the year exams, and Harry is saying something that ends with, "Why didn't I see it before?", Hermione is mouthing part of that line.


COS: In the Quidditch scene, Harry breaks his right arm and cradles it on his chest, but when he is laying on the ground after he falls off his broom, he then leans directly on it when he sits up to get away from the Bludger. In the shot immediately afterward, he has his hand cradled in front of him again.


GOF: When Dumbledore is about to introduce the other schools and Filch comes running through the great hall, he runs past Ron twice on his way up to the podium. The first time Ron is sitting up and his head turns as Filch runs past. As Filch continues to run, he passes Ron again, who this time has been lying his head on his arms on the table, and sits up as Filch runs past.

What a fun thread I've got nothing to contribute right now!

I've been watching GOF again (this time in Danish thanks to jess!). A couple more observations:

1) When the kids are in the Hogwarts Express Harry gives Hedwig a letter and sends him out the open window of the moving train. What happens to your hair when you are in a moving car and the window is open? It goes all over the place! Well, Harry's hair doesn't move in the wind at all! lol! Oooops!

2) The seating arrangement at the Great Hall changes with nearly every scene. Now I supposed the kids could really be moving, but I'm not so sure this is meant to happen. When the Bo Batons are introduced, from left to right we see Neville, Hermione, Ginny, and the Patil Twins. But when Dumbledore is talking about the GOF a short time later, they are in a totally different order. Hermine is next to Seamus and another girl and Ginny is nowhere near her. Neville is no longer seen at all. Fred, George, and Angelina is also seen near Hermione at one point. I tried to keep track of it all but if you pay attention, they change seats a lot.

One more! In Goblet of Fire, there is a scene where Hermione, Ron, Harry, George and Fred are all together in Snapes classroom. Would students of different grades all be together in that class?

As that was purely a movie scene (not in the book), my feeling was that it was a study hall as it was not in Snape's dungeon classroom. Students of different grades could certainly be in a study hall together.

You know, you are right about that...it wasn't in the dungeon so perhaps it was some kind of study hall! Well, that certainly makes better sense.

My DS pointed one out for me. In the movie (SS) Hermione says Voldemort's name. However in book five it clearly states that she says it then for the first time.

In GOF on the Hogwarts Express when Harry sends Hedwig out the window with a letter to Sirius, Hedwig remains visible for several seconds after leaving the train. If it was a real train traveling at any speed, Hedwig would pass out of sight immediately.

Here's another!

In COS, down in the Chamber, Harry, Ron and Lochart are surveying the basilisk's snakeskin. However, a few minutes later, when the rocks fall down and blocked the passage, they would have fallen directly on top of the skin, but it's nowhere to be seen!
