Space Mountain | Walt Disney World Resort

Even without me and my short self being terrified I’m going to hit something on SM and the fact I don’t like that my feet don’t hit the ground on gringotts, I will always choose gringotts. Even with the not voice matching voice over of Hermione.

Not sure this is an apples to apples comparison of attractions and tech, but Gringotts gets my vote between these 2. It's an amazing attraction. Space Mountain is still something we look to do every trip, but it's not the tech and excitement of Gringotts.

We loved the theming of the queue so much for Gringotts! And we were so excited! But alas, it pretends it’s going to be a ride, then it turns out it’s just more screens 😫

@lilmc Yeah, the queue at Gringotts is amazing. The ride... I wish it wasn't so screen-based. We should have gone on it first before the previous 4 screen-based rides we had gone on that day at that park, I think we would have enjoyed it more that way.

Space Mountain is so classic to me and I have to do it every trip. It being dark makes it more unique, especially if you sit in the front!

I will grant my initial ride on Gringott's I was a little disappointed that it wasn't more of a coaster, but I think it is still done well. It feels like a suped up version of Transformers/Spider-Man. It is still a lot of fun and feels very technoligcally advanced. And the queue is amazing. The bank lobby is one of my favorites spots in the park.

I really enjoy Space Mountain but it feels very basic in comparison. The queue is pretty bland but does fit the theme so don't want to say it's bad, but it's just not as engaging. The ride experience I love but it is a basic family coaster just setting in a dark room.

I'll give Gringott's a second chance next time now that I know what to expect. And totally agree on the bank queue!

Another vote for Gringotts. - I agree the queue is amazing!

I've actually stopped going on Space Mountain. Maybe CA is better, but I always feel like I get kind of beat up on the FL one.

The California one is better. I defintely recommend trying it if you're there. The cars are a completely different set up where it is more of a standard 2 person across coaster car and is much more comfortable. They are completely different expereinces despite have the same theme and basic beats to the ride.
