Adult male and might not have time to get haircut before trip from my usual guy. What's the deal with Harmony Barbers? There are obviously no reservations available this upcoming week but I have seen that they take walk-ups. Anyone have experience with walk ups to the shop? Are they any good with adult cuts? I'm not looking to walk the red carpet at the Oscars just good enough that I don't look like a hot mess in my Photopass pics.

I can’t speak to the quality of adult male haircuts but I will say that I’ve seen many folks turned away for walk-ups. On the flip side, I almost always see cancellations the day before so I recommend stalking if you can.

We haven't been in a while, but when I took DS, we could only get a walk up at rope drop and even then there was a wait. The haircuts were fine. If you really just need a haircut and would rather make an appointment, try the Mandara Spa (which specifically offers men's haircuts) at the Dolphin or Grand Floridian Spa (which offers "extra short" haircuts). I'm not sure where you are stying, but Mandara would be fairly simple to get to if you have a car or if you went to the spa from EP or DHS. Just be prepared to, most likely, pay a higher price than what you might pay at home.

Took my son there for his first haircut... he's 8 now and it was still the best haircut he ever had.

I did a "walk-up" reservation there in the past but it was a like a "day of" reservation. Went there first going into the park and got a time for later that same day. Came back and got my guy haircut (of course, advised how it was usually done on me). One thing to know is I could have paid in cash/card but the tip HAS to be in cash - it' can't be put on a card (or at least that's how it was when I went). But definitely check there first thing going into the park.

PS - there was a little boy in a booster seat in the chair next to me getting a haircut with parents and grandparents watching and taking pictures. It was cute to see THEIR enjoyment.

Don’t know on adult cuts but we got an appointment for the grandson on a days notice by asking the concierge at the hotel (Riviera) if they could find anything for us. It had been my daughter’s dream to get his first haircut there but for weeks it was always fully booked. Concierge found us an appointment no problem.
