Harmonious - how early grab a spot?

How early do folks generally start to stake out the good spots for Harmonious front and center? How about to the sides (Mexico/Norway, or UK)?

I think it depends on the crowd levels but in early December (moderate crowd) we saw people start sitting down here and there 2 hours ahead but not many. Most people showed up about an hour before. There was a stage set up between Canada and Mexico (so that big plaza area) and it takes up a lot of the good spots around there.

If you want to be up against the fence (front line) in the best spots probably 2-3 hours ahead? Again depends a bit on the crowd level I think!

You can see it just fine without being at the railing. We walked around last night during Harmonious on our way to our dining reservation and we could see everything from way behind the NYE crowds as we sped along the Showcase. I wouldn't waste any park time standing around.

Maybe I’ll try that. Wife and kids are about 5’2”.. is that a problem or is that area sort of slanted?

I was there a few weeks ago. We got a spot in-between France and Japan about 2 hours before the show and were right at the railing. Wasn't bad of a wait since there were a few other cool people hanging out that we were able to chat with, and we were able to high-tail out of Epcot by using the IG and walking to YC/BC to catch a rideshare (versus walking to the other end of epcot for x2 monorails to BLT)

The waits are going to be crazy near the center since the projections are more towards the American Adventure. If you don't care about seeing the projections, then anywhere is a good spot.
