Harlem Globetrotters

Has anyone ever been to one of these games?? DS turned 11 today and his BIG present was court-side seats to a game in St. Louis. It was the most AWESOME basketball I've ever seen!!! We didn't know it, but when we got there, we got to do a meet and greet with the players. There were only about 50 of us there, so we got some cool time with the players and AWESOME pictures!!! The game itself was a riot--never thought I would have so much fun!!!

I have loved seeing the Trotters since I was a little kid. I remember the days of Meadowlark Lemon and Curly Neal and Marques Haynes.

We took our kids to see them last year when they came to Hershey.


BTW - did you know the Harlem Globetrotters were founded by a little Jewish guy from New York named Abe Saperstein?

I was to a game more than 25 years ago. They were absolutely amazing. They were some of the most talented people I'd ever seen in my life. What they could do with a basketball was next to unbelievable. I would love to see them again.

I absolutely DID NOT know that!!! They have a book about them that I think I am going to get for my DS!! He was mesmerized!!!
