hardest character to meet?

What's the name of the guy from the Hunchback of Notre Dame who's skinny wears a mask, and looks like some sort of weird jester? We saw him at the France Pavillion last Sept. DH said "Who's that?" All I could answer is "Some guy from the Hunchback." (Only saw the movie once--not a family fave.) If I see him again, it'd be nice to know what his name is.

His name is Clopin.

Clopin is the leader of the gypsies and serves as the narrator the story of Quasimodo, the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Clopin also serves as leader of the Feast of Fools in Paris and also acts as a puppeteer, largely to the amusement of the children of Paris. Besides this, Clopin is not a major character in the story itself.

I always manage to see Hercules at MGM near the Sorcerer's Hat. Pain and Panic are harder-to-find though and usually only appear at MNSSHP or on very random occasions at MGM.

Nemo has been in front of the Living Seas lately.

I've only seem Jiminy once for meet-and-greets. He was in Italy with Pinocchio about five years ago. The Pinocchio characters don't do meet-and-greets in the countries anymore though, so if he's out at EPCOT, he'll probably be on the bus. If you want to see Jiminy, the best chance of finding him is on Earth Day. For the past couple of years, he has appeared at Rafiki's Planet Watch on that day. Hopefully, this will happen again this year and not be subject to more budget cuts.

I've seem Brer Rabbit at the entrance to AK.

The Villains location in Fantasyland has not been in use for a few months now, so now the Villains have been scattered throughout the park (Jafar in Adventureland, the Queen of Hearts by the Tea Cups, Cruella and miscelanious other villains like Prince John, Gov. Ratcliffe, and sometimes the Queen or Malificent at Town Square)

The only place I've seen Esmeralda lately was in France at EPCOT. Last Christmas she was alone in front of the movie in France and the following Summer she was in the same place with Quasimodo and Clopin. Unfortunatly, the CM with them had already stopped the line for them when I got there and said that only a certain number of people could see them because they had to catch the bus to the Magic Kingdom, so I wasn't able to get a picture. I didn't see her at all this Christmas though.

On our last trip Lilo & Stitch wre at the Sorcerers Hat with a few other characters,including Piglet(one of the CMs said that this would be one of the few places to catch him now!)

That' too bad about the villains being scattered. Last Christmas we met Prince John, Maleficent and the Queen from Snow White together, Jafar, and the Queen of Hearts all in the space of a half hour. DH and DD were ordered by Maleficent and Queen to frown, but DD kept cracking up. Queen was rolling her fingers across the top of DH's hat while I took the picture, as if she was terribly impatient. They were very impressed with the autograph cards we had made for each one to sign with their respective pictures. The villains always fawn over their images. Even Jafar was impressed. The Queen of Hearts made DS kiss her hand so she could knock his baseball cap off his head. She managed to knock it off four times, including right before the pic, so he had hat hair. The kids sucked their thumbs with Prince John. We had a blast! Here's a couple of shots:

One absent character that puzzles me is Brer Fox. We saw him in 2000 at Splash Mountain and in the Christmas parade, but in 2002 he had disappeared.

It's pretty rare to see any of the more obscure characters; but of the ones who do show up once in a while, I'd say Clopin from Hunchback. I've only seen him twice.

I hadn't heard Piglet was back at MGM. Lately he's just been at AK and Crystal Palace. He's definatly more rare now than a few years back when he was at EPCOT and 1900 Park Fare as well.

Brer Fox was retired a few years back (2001 I think). Rummors back then were saying that he was supose to get a "face lift", but now it seems that that will be unlikely.

Esmerelda was at breakfast at the Cinderella Castle...but that was in January 2002.... she played her character reeeeeeally well...sassy, fun, and talked about her boyfriend a lot My DD's loved her.
My oldest DD is trying desperately to get Jafar's autograph, but he seems to be elusive to us.
I agree with previous posters...villians are the best characters. We had great fun with Captain Hook (who signed my DD's book 'tick tock tick tock no water no croc'. This was after my DW kept making the tick tock sound while he was signing autograph books. We also saw the elusive evil witch from Snow White.
She was hanging around the entrance to MGM, just out of the way so nobody saw her...so we had lots of time for pictures, autographs and fun
Looking forward to more character hunting in a couple of weeks....for my DD's of course

there was only one time i met burt from marry poppins. it's one of my all time favorite movies and burt is a fave character of mine. this was maybe 2 yrs ago in front of the magic kingdom entrance. i hope to find them again sometime soon.

hello to all, im a 16 1/2 year old kid on the sn that my dad made years ago, i haven't found a way to change it... so for now, ill ust post here. as for this subject goes.... iv been going to disney since i was 2 1/2, and going every year since, and iv seen alot of characters. i haven't seen daisy in a while, but my family said have. have never ever seen jimminy milficent(lots of spelling there) old hag, gus and jac. and others i can't think of. and to answer lisareniff's question, no i don't believe tinkerbell ever comes out... excpet for the beginning of wishes. lilo and stitch r at 2 places in mgm, hat and the courtyard... now y the people at disney would do that, i have no idea.

Tinker Bell only appears at the begining of Wishes now. She has never done meet-and-greets. She does appear in the parade at Walt Disney Studios theme park in Paris, so there is hope that she may someday she may be in a parade or show here in Florida too, but maybe not for meet-and-greets in the forseeable future.

Bert from Mary Poppins is another rarity, especially in the off-season. I've seen him at the Sorcerer's Hat but that's about it. I also have heard he does meet-and-greest occasionally near the Carousel in Fantasyland (especially during the Summer) and at 1900 Park Fare's character breakfast on weekends.
