About 2 weeks ago, I decided to find out if two friends would like to join me in Disney for 2 nights in December. I’ll be there with DH for 8 nights, and I would extend my stay, and he would go home. Friends accepted, and I put in a waitlist for 2 nights in a standard 1 bedroom at BWV. I only had 47 BWV points in 2019 to borrow to book the reservation, and pool/Boardwalk points for reservation would be 56 points. TOMORROW is the 7 month day, and I figured I would borrow other points and book the more expensive villa.
I went on RAT tonight to be sure the pool or Boardwalk View was still available, they are, then I checked my dashboard and my waitlist was gone!
Just to be sure, I called, and YES. I saved 16 points!!
So, there is movement, even in December, even in the resort home priority time, even for standard view. Yes, it was only 2 nights, but it was something I did not think I would get within 2 weeks.
