Had a little catching up to do again......

Day 5 plans look good, we loved the KTTK tour when we did it. I'd love to do it again or maybe another one someday.

Video was great, would love to do that to our videos.

Love the new blog, for some reason it is not letting me post on there though. Tells me I'm not authorized or something.

I'm way behind here! lol! Loved the video, it's so sweet. I always say that I'm going to do one of our trip but I forget every time! Maybe I'll do some from our last trip before we go on our next one.
I can't wait to see the Hallowe'en costumes!

no worries trying to get caught up w/ reading too...when you seem to miss several days in a row you miss alot I am thrilled w/ the video and look forward to more...I picked up something at the store yesterday that is slightly trip related post pix soon

REVISED OCTOBER Mickey-versary Trip TO-DO List!​

August 2 months to go

* finish any “summer” clothes shopping as needed-bought some shorts/nice button down shirt for Matt on sale from oldnavy…he still needs to try on

* start working on costumes- no real news in this item, but Matt has been looking extensively online at top hats and coats

* Start Brainstorming Family Disney nights for countdown and make a 30 day countdown-we came up w/ a plan to do 4 nights leading into when we leave at 30 days, 20, 10 and 5 days out…still deciding on themes!

* Sort my Disney box into piles

* Create a few Disney gift items

*Make new Halloween themed DIS-tag

* make F&W cheat sheet to put on our touring card (for EP days) when printed




September 1 Month to go

* Start a 30 day countdown and Family Disney Nights

* Pull suitcases, start packing, make trip shopping list

*Create/Finish any special trip items (trip journal)

* Finish/Put together DIS meet gifts

October weeks to go

* last minute planning: Print itinerary cards, prepare travel binder…

* prepare schedule for kids/instructions for Mom

* talk to kids about souvie wish lists…make a master list put on my phone

* Garden Grocer order

* Special cake order

* Final packing

* get ready to go…


of course i have added more since i typed this up weeks ago... I have alot listed for end of August...hoping once kids are back to school next week and i have a few weeks in Sept before i start watching my niece...that i can crank out a bunch of things while I am not too too busy

not much yet...been pretty busy just some "thinking" plans...I go back to work next week when school starts (crossing and lunch duty) so I'll get a pay check in Sept that i plan to go and buy some things for myself and Matt

I've recently started thinking about getting a cake from the Boardwalk Bakery. I need to check out the cake threads.

I have a pretty good idea of what we want and have some things jotted down that i gathered from allears...I know some of the best cakes come from GF so we'll be lucky since that is where I plan to order it from...will chat w/ Matt about this soon too to make a final decision and call beginning of Oct to order...so I'll be discussing our's in more detail sometime next month...so stay tuned

After posting yesterday’s to-do list…I actually was able to cross off three things on the list…

After Matt got home from work yesterday he tried on his new shorts and shirt for the trip and YAY they fit! So for the most part, clothes shopping for this trip is done…I’ll sort outfits starting next month when I pull up the suitcases…

The 2nd thing I crossed off was I did sort my main Disney Box:

It was getting a bit full and I had actually brought up an additional box for Jan. I sorted out the things needed for October (which isn’t much when you are not traveling w/ kids)… and went through some other areas I had stashed a few things and put a few more things in the Jan box, the kids items we don’t need for Oct. are still in the main Box and I put the Oct. things plus DIS gift items I’ll need in this box:

A few things aren’t pictured…like a tube of glow bracelets, villa essentials: 3 in 1 laundry sheets, mini Febreeze and disinfectant sprays and of course the DIS gift items…

What’s in that pile?

2 adult ponchos, reusable water bottle, a bag, misc travel things like band-aids (Mickey ones of course), mole skin, extra luggage tag, safety pins, DVC member button, etc

A few recent purchases and finds include:

Taking 2 sets w/ for Oct.

And a small assortment of jellies and PB spreads (I took )

I’ll need to make a buy list soon of a few other misc things needed…but shouldn’t be much!

I laso have been meaning to show you all my awesome new summer flip flops that I bought (awhile ago) w/ thinking these will be my NEW Disney touring shoes and you can tell why by the color. They are Clarks and I love them! I really should have bought two pair…

The third thing I crossed off was making my new DIS-tag! I decided I wanted to make something that was Halloween themed and use one of the Anniversary DISigns that Marion had made for me too. And this is what I came up with:

As you can see I made a matching one for Matt just for fun!

The other Day I was at Target looking for black flair pens that weren’t permanent in the small scrapping aisle and saw this and just had to purchase it:

Matt got a big laugh out of it and we had some fun trying them on last night. Now these most likely won’t be used for Matt’s costume as they are stickers and color is a bit dark…but it sure was funny…

Naomi-Ruth wasn’t too sure about this…

Also in costume news there is a huge overnight Flea Market by our house tomorrow night that Matt is going to go to, in hope he can find a cheap suit, shoes for himself, and some costume pearls for me.

So I started a new pile in the small Disney rolling suitcase/duffle we bought at DTD last year - it has all the actual stuff I've been setting aside for November.

The stache stickers are too funny!! I love that Matt is going out costume shopping... not sure I could get Tim to do that!

hey there...I have been doing catch up lately too..., the 15 disign was Matt's idea custom off another disign we had made..., I wish I could have gotten more of the glow necklaces...hope they are nice

it is easy packing for just 2...but getting the house ready and kids while you are away is not fun
