Hope everyone had a marvelous day!

We ate *very* early (for us!) at about 3:30, and have been each doing our own thing since - very nice for all! (Poor DH, though, got stuck with kitchen clean up and bringing in the laundry loads from the clothesline outside. First day we could line dry things outside this year!)

I've happily spent the past few hours FINALLY cleaning up my scrap desk and the surrounding area. Now that I'm done with swaps - for a long time, but remind me of that later! - I got piles/bags/stacks of paper, scraps, and embellishments put away and have a lovely clean desk. Some of these things have been sitting out for months, since I bought them as swap materials. Our 506 Winkflash Disney photos arrived yesterday and Z2H and I got them all sorted and I'm itching to get crackin' on my Disney layouts - three trips worth from 2006-2008.

The opening of the 2010 Red Sox season is in a half hour - so I'm gonna sit by my radio (we don't get the cable tv station most of the games are on) and enjoy it! Say it with me now...."Boo...hiss...Yankees!"

The kids all said that this was a very nice Easter and that's what it is all about!

boo hiss yanks has been going on in our house all day. E's been walking around in his Jason Bay shirt still morning the trade. I'm thinking he might sleep in it. I'll be lucky to make the 1st pitch we're all headed to bed shortly. Moms headed to Quincy in the am so Uncle Jack will have it DVR'd for her and show her all the highlights.

Off to put everyone to bed including me last week of no sports so I'm going to enjoy catching up and cleaning indoors, all the stuff i ignored this weekend.

Something about today just gave me a bright start and that feeling where you just know all is going to be well. . .you know? It was a great day!!

Also, we've worked so much on the house this week that I don't have as much cleaning to do this upcoming week!!

And we're excited for the 1st pitch here, too! DH being the Red Sox guy he is, is thrilled! His Father's Day gift every year is the Direct TV Major League package so he can watch NESN here in East TN!!

Hope everyone had a great day!

DH picked up an overtime shift in addition to his regular shift, so our dinner plans were nixed. I spent the day doing some scrapping, then baking cookies to bring to my extended family get-together. (The broken cookies that didn't make it were my Easter dinner. ) My grandparents are in a nursing home/assisted living complex (one on each floor) so we got together in a conference room there just for dessert so we could all be with them for a few hours. Great time - and Grandma loved my cookies!

What do I think of when I think of Easter - candy! Working in a grocery store, I've been taunted by Easter candy displays for weeks - and I've successfully restrained myself, but I have fond memories of an easter basket full of chocolate bunnies and my favoritest favorite - marshmallow eggs. Marshmallow is so under-utlized - it seems you only see it in Easter candy. I may have to indulge in one marshmallow bunny when everything is on sale for 75% off tomorrow!
