The city of Chicago turns 170 years old today. I was born and raised and live in the Chicago suburbs. I love the city and find it one of the most beautiful I've ever seen.

170 years old? you mean young. Chicago girl born and bred...I cannot imagine anywhere else I would want to be (I am 10 years out in the 'burbs and STILL I am not used to it. Here is my favorite of the city (kinda from lake shore looking in at the River) It is a little to in (I know the picture must have been taken from the river-but you get my drift)

Happy Birthday Chicago....my old stomping grounds!

Enjoyed the '70's in the big city. Those were the days...in my twenties....dancing at the Playboy Club.....12 hour lunches in Greektown....Rush Street bar hopping.....hanging out at Second City (where Bill Murray thumbed his nose at me). Oh, to be young and in the big city!
