We are frequent visitors to WDW but have never stayed at Fort Wilderness. My teenage boys have been asking to stay there for a few years so I am planning a trip in March for six nights. I have already reserved a cabin and golf cart. We only plan on doing three days of park visits. Can you help me plan the three days we plan on enjoying the camp grounds? My children are ages 7, 13 and 15. What are some of the things you have done for fun there. I want to make plans now since it is only three months away. Thanks!

I just thought of something. Do you all think it would be better to do a few things in the parks each day...perhaps for the mornings, then enjoy the campgrounds? Or should we do one day parks, one day off, etc.?

Definietly a boat ride in the lake. They will have a blast. I think your youngest will have to have an adult with him. They have the out door movies and marshmallow roast after the sing alongs. You can buy the stuff there to make some mores. I know they have catch and release fishing if that is something they like to do. We have done trips both ways, some days off just at the campground and some days 1/2 and 1/2. It all depends what we didn't get to do because of crowds or the weather. If you do early entry days or extra hours nights that may make decisions for you as to what you might do the next day. Have fun, it certainly is relaxing.

Rent bikes. Ft Wilderness on a bike is so enjoyable. I believe you can rent by the hour or for an entire day. You can take the trail over and explore WL. DH and I love Ft Wilderness you'll have a blast.

We always do 1/2 day at the parks. We go do the rides we like and just leave for the day.Think about doing a water parks that is a good way to kill a day. Have Fun

look into the family plan for the marina. with it your family can have unlimited use of the mouse boats (little motor boats that they can drive around the lakes - the older boys could drive their own, i think.) and the pontoon boats. great for the entire family to go out and enjoy a boat ride. my son loves the mouse boats and is out there at least once a day every day we stay at FW.
