Happiest Pin Celebration on Earth?

I was over on the Disney Pin Release Date Site to see what be be out on my WDW Wedding (8/31-9/16) and noticed that there are A TON being release on 9/9 (when we'll actually be on a 3 day wonder cruise). The pins are part of "the happiest pin celebration on earth". has anyone heard of this?

although i'm not going to spend $75 to be allowed to buy some pins, maybe they'll have some others being released that day too.

Don't forget this is a three-day event. For the $75 you get two meal vouchers, a couple of free pins, and other goodies as well as the opportunity to make purchases. Also, there may be a Great Pin Adventure if we are lucky.
