Happiest Haunts Tour??

Does anyone know when these start? The last day we'll be at Disney is Sat 17th Sept when "Halloween Time" kicks off but before the parties start.

Is there any chance these start on that date? And for the knowledgeable peops among you, do I call 30 or 60 days before to book?

I'm guessing they start on Sept 16th, and I know they get booked 30 days in advance. I called about them last week, and the CM I spoke with said they weren't given the info on that tour for this year yet, but if I called back the 2nd week in August they should have all of the finalized dates. I'll post again when I find out, unless anyone else has the final word yet.

Also, stay tuned to the Halloween at DLR Superthread, because whenever we get any new Halloween Time information in, we always discuss it there and I update Page 1 (post #1) with info. I have a link or links to other, general Happiest Haunts stuff there now.

As I recall, last year (in the previous Halloween thread, before I got the thread organized with specific posts for specific things), we were not sure if Happiest Haunts was going to begin on the first day of the season (last year the season began 9/17, but this year it begins on 9/16). I think it ended up starting then, or, at most, a few days after.

You might want to check MousePlanet, because even though they wouldnt have the 2011 info up yet, they probably have a schedule of Happiest Haunts from last year, so you can see when exactly it began and what the hours for it were. Or perhaps AllEars might have it.

Dink37 - if you do happen to find this out first, would love a heads up!! Sat 17th is literally the only day we'd be able to do it, so will have to get in there early (after that date we'll be in Monterey!!).

Happiest Haunts Tour

This seasonal Halloween-themed 3-hour walking tour covers both parks, with rides on Haunted Mansion Holiday, Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Snow White's Scary Adventures and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. You'll also receive a souvenir keepsake and Halloween treat. Available for all ages, but guests must meet height requirements to experience the included attractions.

In 2010 the tour was offered starting September 17 and running through Halloween. (Tour will only be offered on weekends in September; probably every night in October.) Two tours depart each afternoon, at 5:00 and 5:05 pm.

2010 regular price was $64 per person.

Also available was a $99 "Ultimate Experience" ticket that combines the Happiest Haunts Tour and admission to Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party on select evenings (October 1, 5, 8, 15, 19, 22, 26, 29, 31). With this special ticket, at the end of the tour, guests could stay for the party at Disneyland.

I'm fairly positive that the same schedule will be in place this year, except adjusted for the differences in dates. This year the tour will likely begin on Friday, September 16th, then happen only on weekends in September (including Fridays) and every day in October. So if your only day to do the tour is 9/17, I think you'd be fine since that's a Saturday!

You're very welcome! I'd imagine that the tour price may go up a few bucks this year, but I am pretty sure that you can get some sort of discount on it with either an AP or a Disney Visa.

Just an update, I called today to see if they figured out times for the tour yet and was told they should be set by this Sunday but currently they were unsure of dates and times. Being that the 30 day window for our trip starts tomorrow, I'm going to start calling everyday just in case they become available before then. Will update again when I know!

And a little more info: from the CM I spoke with on the phone, the tickets for the Happiest Haunts Tour will not go on sale until the start of Sept. The tour dates are Sept 16-Oct 31, and tour times will be 4pm, 430pm, 5pm, 530pm. They did not know if the tour will run all week of just the weekends in Sept.

Because I work evenings and usually am just sitting around with coffee at 10am, I'm going to keep calling during the week, see if anything changes due to the different answers I tend to get.
